The time has come for the Contender group matches of the IGN Pro Team League!
Group B Schedule: NSHoSeo vs Empire - September 14
Karont3 vs Dignitas - September 21
NSHoSeo vs Dignitas - September 28
Karont3 vs Empire - October 5
Empire vs Dignitas - October 12
Karont3 vs NSHoSeo - October 19
Special note - AlternateType did not respond to compLexity in time and were forfeited for this match. Therefore we moved the schedule up a day. Tomorrow's match slot will be replaced shortly and this thread will be updated when it is.
When: Friday, Oct 12 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also rebroadcast repeatedly afterwards!)
Format
Contender Division Group A is made up of four teams: Acer, aTn Type, compLexity, and FXO. Group B contains NSHoSeo, Empire, Karont3, and Dignitas. Both groups will play round robin against each other team in their group. When group stages are over, the top two teams from each Group will play against the bottom two from each Premier Group for a chance to enter that division! The bottom 2 teams from each Contender Group automatically fall to the Amateur Division and their spots are taken by our top performing Amateur teams.

Because it's sorted by placement in the last IPL TAC and therefore the premier division contains only Korean teams and Team Taeja.
I'll be disappointed if they don't win this, hopefully someone can snipe JonnyREcco, the whole team is pretty vulnerable to Zergs. Bischu is quite good in team leagues as well but Kas/Happy should be strong enough to beat him.

There are no invites to divisions - everyone is in their division because they earned it. Empire is in the contender's division because they weren't able to make the top 8 of IPL TAC3 - they beat It's Gosu and FXO Europe, but lost to Slayers and Karont3.

Yea, top zergs are really pain in the ass for empire atm but jonny and killer shouldn't be that big of a problem. Bishu and bling might cause some upsets.. still, lets be humble and predict 5-4 for empire!

Beasty is one of the few foreign terrans I enjoy watching on a regular basis, most foreign terrans seem to be overtly defensive or aggressive yet beasty does one of the best jobs walking the terran defense offense tightrope.

Dream chosen as dignitas' 5th man, may be a prepared snipe I suppose as I think if they wanted a protoss bling would have been a better option killer should stay for ace though as he can put together some great ZvT performances (He beat Taeja so what you will but 3-2 win over Taeja is still a win over Taeja) which bodes well for him vs empire.
