Intel Extreme Masters: Singapore Website - Singapore Liquipedia - Intel Extreme Masters Twitter.___________________________________________________________________________________ Intel Extreme Masters: Singapore, 22/11 - 25/11The Intel Extreme Masters next stop takes us to the amazing land of Singapore, where once again the world's best gamers will battle it out for supremacy over their respective fields. The StarCraft 2 and League of Legends tournaments will provide a grand total of $82,000 as players from Europe, America and Asia duke it out for the top spot. If you live in Europe and are reading this thread, this is your chance to be a part of the experience! The European qualifier will once again be split up into 3 stages (detailed below). Stage 1 is for everyone, you can sign up and participate to then earn a spot in Stage 2. Stages 2 and 3 are mostly comprised of invites based on a ranking system. For Singapore we've also factored in players who qualified for China in order to give them the best opportunity possible for their previous feats. ___________________________________________________________________________________ STAGE 1 - 15/10/12Sign up here: http://www.esl.eu/eu/sc2/masters/season7_singapore_stage1/signup/+ Show Spoiler +STAGE 2 - 18/10/12+ Show Spoiler +STAGE 3 - 25/10/12+ Show Spoiler + (P) mouz.HasuObs - @mouzHasuObs (P) RoXKIS.TitaN - @OlegKuptsov (P) XMG.monchi - @monchiSC2 (P) Tt.WhiteRa - @WhiteRaSC (P) Grubby - @FollowGrubby (P) PandaTank - N/A (P) Ai.Tarra - @Tarrantius (T) M.DieStar - @MDieStar (T) aTn.ClouD - @ClouDSC2 (T) WF.KrasS - N/A (T) Fnatic.Naama - @NaamaSC2 (Z) VPBenQ.sLivko - @VPBenQsLivko (Z) Karont3.VortiX - @Karont3_VortiX (Z) Ai.HaNfy - N/A (Z) sYz - @sYzPRT (Z) Tefel - @sc2Tefel

Hopefully some of the China cancellation victims qualify for this.

Certainly hoping so too! I'm thankful that we've given them a good opportunity to in Stage 3 of the qualification process.

It should be noted that every European based StarCraft player is able to participate in Stage 1. All that is required is an ESL Premium Membership and a StarCraft II account attached to the ESL profile.
Good luck to everyone

What was the logic between not letting it carry over? Some of those were already granted Stage 3 last time.

I'm not an admin so I couldn't tell you the exact reasoning sorry. I would say though that, because each tournament is a different case and time has passed since the China qualifiers, a clean slate seems logical to me. The players and teams etc were financially reimbursed for anything they'd spent regarding China, so in this instance it's not like they've lost out on anything. Fresh tournament, fresh qualifiers, but just with that extra twist to those that put in effort before.

Did you give each player $600 or so? Winning that qualifier guarantees at least winnings of 600$, since last place in group stages are given that much, it's one thing a player who wins the qualifiers can generally expect.

Am I the only one that thought IEM São Paulo instead of Singapore when looking at the TL Calendar? I sure hope so :D
|
Are the invitees for the next two stages listed anywhere? Can't find them.
Good results, btw, no upsets, everyone who I wanted to win, actually won (although fraer hasn't finished playing, hopefully he'll go through as well).
|
|
Damn, that's a lot of green symbols. If you take into account that almost all the players who got through stage 1 are Protoss as well, it's looking like WCS Asia right here.
If Pomi is invited, why did he play today, then? :D That's part of the "not 100% confirmed", I guess.

when is the NA qualifier?

Results and upcoming players participating in the Stage 2 qualifier can be found in the spoiler tags : ) Going to be a sick Stage 2 qualifier!

I wanna see fraer, he's 1-1 against Cloud atm. Would be cool to see the next game against Bly if he makes it.
Titan first player qualified for Stage 3. ROX.KIS fighting!
Edit: Fuck, fraer lost.
|

The site says 10/15/12 but I assume that has been changed, seeing as their are no results or signups currently listed for the NA qualifiers/stages.
|
Should be announced soon, Shawn is usually pretty good about reading these threads and answering.
Titan, Vortix, Krass advancing, good stuff so far. Only one more series win for fraer against DieStar and I'm happy with all the results.
YES! fraer with the def win, so gosu. :D

Fuck yes cloud take this qualifier this tournament will be yours.

Too bad Naama is already out. Hope another Terran makes it a bit further.
Btw, does anyone else have troubles with the premium stream? And with troubles I mean that there is none.
|
Congrats VortiX, no surprise there.

Very good, even though the event clashes with Dreamhack, with VortiX and Titan there, we already have some players I can root for and expect some good games from. Would be cool if one of them was able to take the whole tournament, but that's probably not too likely.

Of course, was more meant in regard to the player pool, if some others had made it through, I wouldn't have been as inclined to tune in once in a while if I find the time.

Is Grubby playing from Korea on EU server right now?

I hope Grubby did better in the IPL qualifier

Good to see that White-Ra has still got some punching power in him.
