The time has come for the Premier group matches of the IGN Pro Team League!
Group B Schedule: LG-IM vs StarTale - September 12 Prime vs TSL - September 19 LG-IM vs Prime - September 26 StarTale vs TSL - October 3 StarTale vs Prime - October 10 LG-IM vs TSL - October 17
When: Wednesday, Oct 03 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also rebroadcast repeatedly afterwards!)
Format
Premier Division Group A is made up of four teams: Team Liquid, SlayerS, MVP, and Evil Geniuses. Group B contains LG-Incredible Miracle, StarTale, Prime, and TSL. Both groups will play round robin against each other team in their group. When group stages are over, the top two teams from each Group will play in a playoff for the $9,000 first prize!

The First Game of the IPTL Premier Division Group B is on Thursday, Oct 04 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also rebroadcast repeatedly afterwards!)
This series may continue the 5-4 record in IPL TL because both teams are very strong, but I think StarTale has the edge because of their diverse line-up with many strong players. I hate to say it, but I think StarTale has it.
ST 5-4 (or maybe 5-3 depending on how well HyuN/Polt can play)
Now that is why you make sure the Protoss did 15 Nexus or 1 Gate. Two Rax does horrible against any late expo build, especially a Combat Shields variant.

MarineKing lost about 7 marines with combat shields and 2 marauders for a zealot vs 1gate expo. Great micro on the stalkers by PartinG, held with 6ish stalkers and a zealot.
All hope is not lost! the first time Prime beat ST in their GSTL winning season all 5 kills came from Creator and Byun and Prime was at a 0-3 deficit in that game as well

Wow, Prime really aren't what they once were. It used to be their top five were the best five around but now I just see them falling apart at every turn.
Parting is a GOD!! Favorite player dominating for my favorite team, even slipping in my all time favorite build to use, 8Gate! Sweet justice has been done! So happy. StarTale just needs to recruit By.Rain now for world domination.

i dno, byun mkp and creator this year have had each a solid claim to be very very good players in their races. bbbb not as much, but maru has shown some promise too, and he only turned 15 less than 2 months ago haha

I clearly (to myself) meant in the Team leagues. There was a time when they won everything with the same five guys (KSL, GSTL, IPL TAC)

Prime needs some help it seems, they have the right pieces but they just aren't clicking recently. Well just a matter of time until Maru takes over the world probably.

They need a ZvP specialist still. Strong PvT are their downfall. They can't use Creator early, it make their whole roster kinda akward.

i know T_T you'd think that with byun and mkp (two extremely good TvP, both top5 TvP easily) would be enough, and maru's very solid there too. sigh

Those 2 Protoss are a matchup nightmare for Prime. Because Prime vP specialist are mainly Ts. And both First and Parting are vT specialist. Then you have Creator being ace in a PvP down 0-4 which is a huge disadvantage because their opponent has no pressure and try really risky builds.
Hmm, if Liquid can beat Slayers by a reasonable margin (with Sea on their team now in addition to Hero and Taeja (and I guess Zenio) it's entirely possible), and if EG can beat MVP like they beat slayers then I think Liquid can actually still advance from their group! (Because Slayers beat MVP)

dno if that's true, mkp for one has a sick lifetime record against parting, and byun/maru can do it.
