Some groups are pretty strong, Spanish players like Alastor and Mikoel are pretty strong, together with two other decent to great pros, we'll see some good players go out in the first group stage. Well, you can never rule anything out in SC2, but it seems highly unlikely to me. Every group has two clear favorites and while there will be upsets (there are 64 players!) I'd say something like 28-30 of the 32 seeded player will make it out.

But it is still interesting in some groups where you have a clear number 1 and a clear number 2(some groups #1 and #2 are so close they are interchangable). With those groups, if you get the #2 upsetting the #1 and getting the first seed. You could get a potential group of Death in stage 2 since you will have 2 #1 plus another #1 that fell to number #2 do to upsets.

Also don't forget that the two previous DreamHack had three group stages which was way too much. Two seems to be the perfect golden mean between the useless first group stages of Stockholm/Jönkoping and a too elitist competition with only 32 players. This format allows local players to play in a premier event and it's really cool. It has never happened in Spain for SC2 while the US players regularly participate in MLG through the open bracket.

I really think they should have four casters/two streams, I guess there isn't enough commentators in Europe anymore without TB/Bitterdam. We need some more players to retire and become awesome commentators!!
