there will be free stream like usual from Gom just not the best quality

Yeah that's why I didn't add it to the OP. I didn't want people to confuse a paid stream with a free stream and cause a ruckus in the thread ^^
But as it stands you can watch choppy footage of people warming up the GOM MACHINE right now instead of nothing.

I don't understand why actually. Isn't WCS something from Blizzard ? Every other occurence of these qualifiers got its free stream(s), usually with decent quality...
The fact that it's GOM - KeSPA players isn't a sufficient explanation for me...

Because GOM is hosting and producing it.
Think of this more as another Super Tournament/Blizzard Cup/World Championship side GSL tournament. It's basically GSL Season 3.5 featuring KESPA.

JAEDONG,
also cant wait for alive to win then everyone to say "WHERES YOUR ELEPHANT NOW"
|
All 3 non-mirror match-ups in the line-up, plus Jaedong. Hells yes.

Mmmmh. Well, I'll content myself with LR if there is some ^_^. I don't know yet how to feel with GOM monetizing this tournament, is it good or bad, etc. if they produce it, well they can charge for it I think. A bit sad though... But w/e, it's overshadowed by the KeSPA - GOM encounter !

Huhu, that'd be funny. Actually, rooting for Jaedong in this match, but I don't mind which ending it gets, both will be interesting imo.

Want to stay up to watch JAEDONG but damn it's so late!

Jaedong! Go go!
Though, I must say:
I greatly dislike the way monetization for tournaments in Starcraft 2 has gone. Paying money for a stream has always rubbed me the wrong way.
Blizzard really dropped the ball with e-sport integration for their client.
In Dota 2, every tournament has a free 720p+ stream, and then through the game's store you can buy a ticket to watch the games live through the client (Complete with commentary built in, along with camera-sync between viewers and their chosen broadcaster.) This ticket then grants you access to the replays after-the-fact, and these replays contain the commentary/camera options from the broadcast, too.
These: http://www.dota2.com/store/?appid=570#cat=5
I always hear people talk about how the GSL is, "Just $1 a day." But... A prestigious Dota 2 tournament, The Defense has been running for months, and the ticket is only $5. And that's the top-end of tickets!
The International on that list isn't an online pass, but a ticket for a seat at the venue, so disregard that.
Blizzard really needs to up their game to keep up with the times, e-sports are advancing, and they're being left in the dust.

240p will be free, just like LQ for the GOM Player. This is GOMs call, as they would prefer if people subscribed. Current subscribers on GOM's site should check for a free ticket on their account if they are yearly pass memebers. I don't really know more, sorry!

nvm question answered i think

Im really interested in the JD vs aLive match. A classic bw gosu vs established SC2 pro player
|
oh wow actual 720p for WCS through twitch, if I didn't already have a gom ticket I would have been tempted. But I think in the long run the access to the vods is more important to me.

jaedong may just get me to shell out the 15$ to watch it in hd (even if he loses)

ESL hosted most of EU qualifiers and we know that their free stream is capped at sth like 612p.
But for WSC they went with full 720p+ (or 1080) for all not only their premium subscribers.

Hope the KESPA players don't get utterly demolished...it's only been like a week since they switched to SC2 full-time right?

My brain says Alive without a doubt.
My heart says JD without a doubt. JD can do it. I believe! Bring out those fundamentals, JD! Especially now that Zerg is strong!
