I don't think that is true at all. The fastest learners, maybe even naturally most talented have an edge. In the long run the names that come out on top can easily change when that advantage goes away and the slower ones improve.

He gets put directly into a group because he did so well in the last OSL. The finalists already get placed into the round of 16 where the bw players play the sc2 players.

The best BW players still had OSL to prepare for several weeks ago, while a lot of B teamers could concentrate solely on SC2. The hybrid league also doesn't help, because the good BW players still have to practice BW to get some wins. Switching between two different games isn't easy.
I have no excuse for Bisu though T_T

Nooooo Jaedong... I have no Kespa players to root for Except Best I guess

i was so excited hearing my twitter feed of FBH making it to the finals of his group =( wanted dat ceremony! <3 FBH, next time!

I hope there are some interviews with the qualified players that might pop up =)

Have they announced the date for the Kespa ODT? Since those will likely be broadcasted, should be great to watch.

Surprised to see Effort not getting in, he's been playing really good sc2 lately.

The result is a blow the transition. New games plus unpopular players mean bad viewership. Even some big names also got eliminated quickly in preliminaries in BW era, but I think most fans want the big names to come up with this new game since this might be the last chance for their revival, like Boxer did in the first few GSLs.

fixed. you knew bisu wasn't getting into an osl haha

I would have thought Effort would make it. Not many people seem as saddened by it, but tough blow Stork not getting in.
|
Ugh, gonna write this osl off until the pros have a chance to practice. No name B teamers with all the practice time in the world > the stars still training hard for BW

Very upsetting results. Guess I'm rooting for Best to make it deep.

This OSL will be a transition OSL, the one after this is gonna be the one to watch, once the pros have had time to practice SC2 full time vs the half and half they've been needing to do recently.
