Byun vs Coca all over

Higher points in the ranking does lead to easier TSL4 bracket.

Additionally, Major was already guaranteed a spot even before his series with Lucifron, and he won that one 2-1. I don't think we should read too much into inappropriate match fixing jokes unless there's concrete evidence that this happened.

I should be more careful when I try to make jokes. I meant to say by mock-outrage: just as the situation with coca and byun was blown completely out of proportion, so would any kind of accusations of match-fixing on the grounds of internet-banter be making something out of nothing (or something so close to nothing that it isn't worth mentioning).

It was maybe blown marginally out of proportion. Code A seed is a pretty big deal and match fixing is part of why Broodwar is in its death throws right now.

There was no Code A seed on the line.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Select just gave him the win....

That is really fucked up to say without any real evidence.

Anyways, this turns out really ugly. Stupid to make such an offer even and if the above tweet is right; I don't want to be Hasu and sit and watch this atm.

It was like, if they won the event they got a seed, or they got a seed into a tournament to get a seed in code A, that match itself had no code A seed on the line directly

Giving a win for more terrans is not likely.

Winning the tournament also provides better bracket position due to seeding than point qualifiers, so losing is not without punishment in positions like Select's.

There is also some money on the line. And besides, Select is a progamer, so there's no reason to assume he will bring out less than his best possible performance.
