Yes, building a cannon in the main was good. Chasing after 4 zerglings with 12 probes for 30 seconds, not so good. Then making 24 cannons after scouting the nydus worm... not so good. | ||

Uh yeah... and... he had his probes off the mineral line for way too long and then built way too many cannons. This was not a protoss playing "really well". | ||

Thing is, you need to be careful with the amount of static defense you build in that kind of a situation; if you build too much, your opponent can just back off and build a bunch of workers, so you want enough so your opponent can't break you, but not too many, so you still have the lead if they don't try to bust or are just faking. | ||
