Now that we're getting into the points for the fourth qualifier, I'm interested in what people think the range of points needed to qualify will end up being, ie how many points will the 1st place and 8th place qualifiers take across all 10 tournaments. An interesting variable is if high point scorers end up winning a qualifier further down the line, making way for someone with less points to qualify. My best estimate is that the low end for qualifying will be 250 and the high end will be 350. The last couple qualifiers should be really exciting as there'll be some crazy interactions if the scores are close.

I think Idra, Ret, Nony, Mondragon, and White-Ra are the only players to have made it into the bracket stage of the first 3 TSLs. (Might be wrong not 100 percent sure.) Here's hoping Ret can become the first member of that group and Liquid to lock up a spot today!

I'm also happy that the terrans seem to be well represented today.

True, but Mondy got invited. He never played that much SC2. I don't think he could've done it if he was playing the qualis.

Everyone except White-Ra got invited, afaik.

Yeah I'm guessing that around 182 (which Lalush already has) will be around the cut off to lock up a bid.

Yeah, but now 1) points are earned for Ro32 2) points earned are higher for the other rounds 3) ten qualifiers instead of 8.

Yeah that's one of the best parts of it. Last year one of Streloc's teammates qualified in first place of the last qualifier, creating a tie for 9th place between Streloc and I believe Nightend for the last spot in the tournament. Nightend won it but it was cool that there was a bit of extra motivation to get first place. Both of those names could be totally off however. Anyway I expect it'll be a bit lower this time, somewhere around 90 points due to less points awarded for 2nd place (which is better because 2nd place almost guaranteed a spot last time.)

Edit: Didn't know some of the other facts mentioned. I'd estimate 150 points to qualify in that case.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

<3 Hell, it's about time. Wish he was on the opposite side of the bracket from HuK though.
