My heart is weary with team league failure, I just don't know how much more I can take... I just don't know...

Hard to give you an explanation, but I feel like Zerg is really good at bo1 against opponent you don't know before. T/P feel like they can use the preparation of knowing the opponent or use the mind games of playing bo3 more.

If DRG 5-0ed them, would you chalk it up to Zerg or DRG being amazing? (Also, for what it's worth, a Zerg did lose on the EG side, and it's doubtful that the other two EG Zergs would come out to play against MVP anyway.)

I think terran used to be more dominant in the team league format given the shorter map distances promoting strong 1 base timings terran has a variety of. I'm sort of in agreeance that in the current metagame zerg feel better in a Bo1 format. I can't pin my finger on it either, probably a combination of things. Like the queen range and ferrarilords meaning that zerg can more often not be cheesed out early game, so sniping them with build orders aren't as easy.

DRG is great, but playing the zerg race makes him greater.
