wish i could go back to MLG columbus 2011 where the sc2 crowd was amazing and there was so much passion for the game
Probably enjoy it if you played it, I personally don't play it, and therefore feel the same way you do. But I really like watching DOTA2, which I play, almost as much as SC2.

I think it's just because it's easier to play casually, and so more people understand it ==> easier to get viewers.
I've never played a game of SC2 in my life, but I played the BW campaign wayyy back in the day and it was enough to get me sucked into watching SC2. How many people can say that, though? (I would actually like to know the answer to that question :D)

Fitzy started getting adrenale glands and almost +3/3 for lings by 11 minutes. All while being super safe on 2 bases. Crazy stuff.

Just use http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/live#sc2 and use the multiview to select your stream, it's the best. you can even see the schedule there. I have to say, even tho MLG website is an horror, their stream viewer app is pretty cool, I'd even say it's awesome.

LoL has multiple reasons for it's success.
1. It is free to play -> much more players -> more viewers
2. Competitive play is directly supported by riot, they link tournament streams inside their game -> more viewers
3. Riot interracts more directlly with the community
Still I personally enjoy watching SC2 much more.

It's a free game.
Video games are for kids/teenagers.
Lots of kids don't have $60 and a super expensive computer to play Starcraft 2.
Most computers can play LoL and it's free.
If SC2 was free and could be played on lower setting computers, it would be five times as big.
