So starting an event at 9 AM is way too much to ask. It has to start in the middle of the day?

I really wanted to see it but starting at 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM on a Friday lol. *Insert European Tournament* doesn't want to cater for America it seems." What time do you want this start at? Two hours earlier when a lot of people will be still in school or at work? Or would you want to start it later a few hours and have them go until 2:00 AM+ into the night to try and keep up to schedule? So starting an event at 9 AM is way too much to ask. It has to start in the middle of the day? It's a FRIDAY, LIKE YOU SAID. Kids in school till 3:00 PM, usually. Adults in work until maybe around 4:00 PM/5:00 PM. If you start it at 9:00 AM on a Friday, you're going to have 10 people in the audience. That would be idiotic by MLG to basically say fuck you to the audience who paid a ticket so that they can cater to the European audience.

And they would still get half of the day of games anyway and would not be forced to watch games in the middle of the night with games played by exhausted players. Instead EU will bring 20.000 viewers that will watch MLG ads or what ever. OH, but that sounds too ambitious I guess. User was warned for this post

It's impossible to cater to every time zone when running a tournament. You need to cater to the region it's being held in, which is exactly what MLG is doing.

People in America are working on Fridays, so... mlg would be missing huge amounts of the live audience. Not sure how this isn't obvious :/ dreamhack, gsl, and all of those other tournaments start at like 2 AM for us. And I'm pretty sure GSL starts around 6pm kst.

Also, fellow europeans, stfu about times, everyone has to deal with bad times, I get DH at glorious times and enjoy GSL over breakfast on holidays, some tournaments have to have bad times.

US would bring a big audience as well. Its a pointless argument.

MLG has always started 4:00 PM with it's opening ceremonies in whatever time zone they are in. No one should expect MLG set in Anaheim to cater more to the European audience than the pay who paid tickets. Same thing with how Americans shouldn't expect special treatment by having Dreamhack or GSL start at crazy times so they get more viewers.
