If you look at other tournaments, Demuslim hasnt been perfoming well at all (2-6 in EGMC).
IMO he just had an amazing run here in NASL, I don't expect much more (than we usually see from him). Today vs Hasu is evenly matched I would say.

In the other matches Ryung and Dimaga will win pretty convincingly. Sjow vs Crazymoving I have no idea.

I actually think that this could possible be DeMusliM's first loss. He has been saying that he has some trouble in TvP (I know he beat HerO, but HerO made some big mistakes, maybe due to lag) and HasuObs has some good PvT. But it could go either way

Other than that I think CrazyMovin, Ryung and DIMAGA will win

I'd marginally expect Hasu to win, though Demuslim has been showing much improved TvP recently on stream, etc. I feel like Demuslim is the better player overall, but worse in the matchup and therefore Hasu might win.

Ryung should 2-0 Darkforce, Slayers Terrans have good TvZ.
Crazy should beat Sjow, Sjow's been mediocre recently.
Dimaga played amazingly against Hero the first time around, perhaps a 2-1 against NonY.

I'm most excited for Demuslim vs Hasuobs this week! :D

Demuslim lost this match. How do I know? I'm assuming NASL accidently ranked him as the 2 seed instead of the 1 seed due to the fact that they already knew he lost this match.

Or it could be that despite HerO losing to DeMuslim, they have the same amount of wins and HerO currently has 13-3 = 10 points over DeMusliM's 9 points (12-3). Additional info: DeMusliM's match history does not show him playing any NASL games at Shattered Temple in the past day, and DeMusliM generally always plays live. Therefore, --> Match has not been decided one way or another.

I wouldn't expect it to be live, NASL is a bad time for Europeans like Hasu. Possibly played earlier in the day before the show.

Ah, should be an interesting match. I'm only really interested in HasuObs vs Demuslim, but that sounds pretty awesome.

Hasu is imho a bit better than Demuslim overall, and especially favoured in PvT, but on the other hand Demuslim is on fire in NASL. Could be close.

The other ones are kinda boring to me, there's not much at stake, Darkforce hasn't played well here and is out anyway, Sjow and CM are also far down and Nony vs Dimaga doesn't sound super competitive either.

NASL,

I emailed you, two days ago, asking for the format for the playoffs this year. I noticed the top two from the open tournament went into the playoff brackets, which is different from last year, so I figured the whole thing had changed beyond the top 2 in each division. This should be something that is easy to respond to, taking, at most, ten minutes to explain. Of course, this information should be easy to find somewhere and copy/paste in a response email.

All I want to do is update the Liquipedia page to make it as good as possible. Please can we know the playoff format?

I am not entirely sure, but I heard, they would not give seats to the top-2 of each division, but to all first places and the 4 best second ones. That would create another spot in the grand finals, which would explain, that two guys are qualifying through the open-bracket.

So now that 3-4 of the 4 casters are involved with MLG Anaheim is NASL is NASL going dark for a few days over next weekend or is Frodan solo casting the weekend?

*edit*
And I think Frodan literally just said they won't be broadcasting.

And now in chat it was mentioned they are taking the whole week off for E3/MLG.

Hmm, interesting game. It didn't appear that Ryung made any obvious mistakes, but I guess his lack of air control really hurt him as Darkforce went full air deathball.

It's Shattered Temple Gretorp Edition, with no gold base and reduced hitpoints on destructable rocks!

Terran needs ghosts and/or raven against darkforce's army in game 1. Regular units just don't kill it. When you have queens to heal and infestors to stall, you never really need more than 8-10 broodlords, and you can make as many corruptors as you want. For most of that, darkforce was pushing with 5-6 broodlords, and was beating the thors (eventually) and vikings could never come out in big enough numbers.

In game 2, I thought it was hilarious how darkforce set up a 3 pronged flank to take out the middle, but ryung wasn't even there, he had just pulled his army back to the command centre.

Hello,

This is my first and probably last post on TL forums. I am mostly the stalker kind here, and watch the streams once in a while.

There is a serious issue with NASL which needs to be adressed, the issue of good taste in clothing.

What the casters are wearing tonight is simply horrid and should be burned live and the ashes scattered in the sea.

First, you can't wear a white tie, never, ever. Even if you are part of the mafia, pretend to be part of the mafia, a douche, simply color-blind or going to your prom.

Second, plain dark brown shirts with plain black suit simply is the horriblest thing I have seen in my life. It makes no sense.

And third, mixing a white tie with a brown shirt and black suit is something that shouldn't be seen, talked or even thought about.

Thank you for the taking the time to read me. I love these casters work by the way.

Thank you for the taking the time to read me. I love these casters work by the way.

I don't know what you're watching, but I see black suit, white shirt and silver tie.

YAY NONY! Casters didn't realize how awesome it is to be almost equal supply with zerg at 10min with zerg not having a 3rd. Stop hating on gateway expo!

I agree, I think he should go into roaches at this point. The strength of this style is how much aggression it gives, which DIMAGA isn't (or can't) really doing right now. I feel like roaches would've been better defensively.

Although DIMAGA held that push pretty well.

Stunning that he didn't have blink by the 20 minute mark. You know Broodlords are coming. They always do. How do you go that late into the game without blink?

This just seems a matter of not getting psi storm or blink - either of those would've dealt with the make or break baneling hits Dimaga got off. That was a weird game, super upgraded Zerglings + Corruptors.

I think if Dimaga had made roaches, he could have easily crushed any push Nony threw at him, since the collosus and zealots simply melted the lings.

Oh well, he's the pro, and I'm the viewer, so I defer to Dimaga on this one. Well won, Dimaga.

He's right you know. In Japan you are only allowed to wear white ties if someone died, or you're yakuza.

Someone please tell Artosis to stop wearing white ties!!

NonY is really getting back in form though, he's not doing badly at all against his opponents, going 1-2 last three series. I'm really interested to see how he will do when he finishes moving, and can actually practice.

No, I think the casters were really misleading the viewers. What I saw with my eyes and what I heard them claim were not consistent. For whatever reason, that one guy (been a while) seems to be really pushing for Nony. It makes poor commentary. The entire game was about Nony, and "Oh, I don't think Dimaga is really ahead, so anyone, Nony right?" Nony, nony, nony, until the very end when it's like, "Oops, Nony looked REAL good but somehow lost." Even when Nony was pushing in, I thought to myself, no chance this works. But the entire time it's whooooa look at this composition it's crushing dimaga! Yeah ohhh hmmm, nevermind, maybe. But look it worked out because Nony is taking a fourth whooooooa! I was like, are we watching the same game?

Man, TvP seems to really focus on the early game (remember MVP in the most recent GSL run?) and DeMuslim has such fantastic unit control that it really benefits him. DeMu really seems to know how the game works right now.

That's the only circumstance in which demuslim won't advance. If either hero or demuslim take just 1 game next week (even if they both lose their series) then demu is top 2, cause he'll have more points than hasuobs. Needless to say it'll be quite the upset if that happens.

All seasons or only season 3? Because in season 2 he lost to HasuObs.

Season 3 of course

Oh damn Nony.

Nony is definitely the player that I'd love to see winning the most. He's an awesome guy but unfortunately I always see him losing. I can't even remember the last time I saw him win a game. Even in these NASL games when he apparently went 1-2 against Dimaga, for some reason I only happened to see the last game, which he lost. How can someone who knows so much about the game and undestands it so well keep losing so much? Well, once he gets all settled up in his new house and gets some proper practice time we should be seeing some better results. I want to believe.
