FormatThe Evil Geniuses Master’s Cup Series League will feature 12 teams in a round robin format with each team matchup containing at least four best of three games between two teams. The top four teams at the end of the season will advance to the playoffs on a two day live broadcast weekend.

ClouD is going to whine again (cf. Go4SC2 #100). Though now Stephano has clearly more impact on the scene than him.
Millenium has that normally. Now if they didn't FF against coL and shamed themselves against GoSu, they could be higher. They are clearly no good in team leagues QQ

That game was massive fail by both players, but Cloud managed to fail harder.
Stephano scouted triple reactor hellions -> builds 20 drones when he had the roach warren out.
Cloud is in Stephano's base with 16 hellions vs. no units -> decides to retreat after killing 17 drones total.

If he doesn't kill the roaches and queens as they hatch, stephano will eventually build up a big enough unit count to kill the hellions.
So he could run into the main and kill 20 drones and that's it. Hellions get trapped and killed and he dies to the roach counterattack, and stephano still has 3 bases and a solid economy.
I figure that's why he wanted to kill the units as they hatched 1 by 1, because he could... but it took too long and ended up being wrong.

I wish we could get a small little interview on this to hear what was ClouD's plan there. He's a pro player, he must have had some reasoning for what he did.
I hope Stephano doesn't think that's a good response to continue to use in the future. Ignoring drones probably won't be the standard strategy of his opponents.
If ClouD's plan was to kill Stephano's army, then he shouldn't be using hellions. If it wasn't his plan, then he shouldn't be killing Stephano's army.

He cleaned out most of the natural, so he killed a ton of drones, but not all. When I open 3 base with a roach warren, I honestly don't give a crap about double factory builds. I can scout it late, make enough drones for continuous roach production, and then pop out a ton of roaches and still hold comfortably, even if he ransacks one of my bases of drones. The queen buff makes it even easier.
cloud may have gotten more drone kills if he ran straight to the main, but I find the mass hellion builds only win if you can kill every single drone, which you can't really do when he has a roach warren and a 3rd base.

the thing is he could have cleaned out the natural and the main. stephano was throwing like one or two roaches at him at a time and cloud just focused on them rather than just going into the main. no way should he have lost that game.

With the sloppy play - for his standard - that Stephano was doing I think Cloud had a great shot at taking the team league, but his play felt demoralized. I think he is frustrated with SC 2 still.
