Another thing is i don't see a reason to fight on the low ground. There is no way for grubby to kill the creep anyway, he could have easily built 7 spine crawlers from the start on the top of the ramps to both natural and 3rd, then surround grubby's units whichever way they tried to attack.
I think I'm just a bit flabbergasted ret lost that, I was hoping from a flawless 6 - 0 to redeem himself from HSC. He definitely has been the most dominant player this tournament so far anyway, so it's not that big of a deal.

I haven't been able to watch all day, but I'm glad Thorzain and Grubby made it through. :D Come on Grubby! Grubby vs Stephano and Thorzain vs Ret both sound like great matches. It will be very interesting to see if Thorzain can take Ret down.

Why would 4-2 be better than 5-3? I think that Grubby should be first in the group if he wins 2-0 because he won against Ret, clearly he is better.

wow grubby!!! He just turned a PvZ into an orc mirror (= several minutes micro battle) :D

Can someone explain to me why darkforce has almost $800 worth of tips? o.o Why is it so high?

Very few players would've won vs Ret in that situation. I agree. But helped Grubby a little by donating several overlords. Fourteen. He was on /176 and ended on /64. This is seriously beyond sloppiness...

Real question, I'm not a zerg. Supply blocked, and probably wanted to save money for larva when a spawn larva finished.
There was a time he was 110 / 198. That was the time to queue up everything.
I guess it's possible he is under pressure, but I feel that he has SO much experience that it really shouldn't effect him that much. I never so much as got a hint from him ever losing his cool or composure at any point in the past.

Sad way for Ret to get knocked out : S
what, Ret is not out.

Ret lost that game more than Grubby won it. Exposed all his OL to voids. Not holding back until lings were at critical mass. Not enough spines. Just sad to see these pretty basic mistakes done by Ret sometimes.

The Dutch derby always entertaining.

Isn't a standard zerg response to automatically build at least 5 queens when you see stargate if you don't have spire or hydra den? Much like dimaga did it at HSC, sooo good anti air.

The real killer was Ret letting 190-something max supply from overlords drop to 86 in about 45 seconds. It gave Grubby the window to push as hard as he could, and Ret just couldn't resupply quick enough given the supply issues and lack of queens. Nice micro from Grubby, nonetheless -- very entertaining game.
