I read through a few pages of this thread and people were saying that Losira threw away that game when he "suicided" his whole army in the vortex, but that was far from being a suicide. HE HAD NO OTHER OPTION. He had 2 Overseers with his army providing detection, so he could engage the Protoss ball, but Brown, very cleverly, aimed the vortex at the Corruptor+Overseer clump, managing to trap all the corruptors and one of the overseers, and then killed off the remaining overseer. So, put yourselves in Losira's shoes for a moment: his corruptors are trapped, so he cannot kill the Mothership, which would be an easy target otherwise, and he got no detection, so his insane broodlord army which would melt whatever ground force Protoss threw at him is completely useless. Running with broodlords is not an option against blink stalkers. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? WHAT IS THE MOST REASONABLE SOLUTION? The correct answer is to do what he did: run his broodlords into the vortex, wait to engage with everything he has, and hope Brown has not enough archons to melt the whole Zerg army. It didn't turn out well for Losira, but that was the best he could do in that particular situation. I'm sorry if it was already discussed in this thread, but I hope I cleared what happened for the ones who still are confused about Losira's decision. Fun game btw

Fun game btw Even standing and doing nothing would have been the correct answer. 4+ Archons had already visibly entered the toilet (ie instant death for BLs if they enter it). You can try to twist it however you want it but fact of the matter is that the majority of corruptors would have survived (they spread fast enough) and so would a big enough amount of BLs. He also still had 2-4 infestors outside the vortex with enough energy for 2+ fungals to reveal the cloaked units. edit: to clarify, going in to suicide your BLs as opposed to having about half survive (more or less, vortex isnt infinite duration and the corruptors would have killed the mship after vortex) would have had WAY better results. It's pretty obvious then that it wasn't the correct thing to do for Losira.

Of course, you can always dismiss it by saying "Oh look at what happened, no way that was the optimal choice", but that's from the privileged viewpoint of the observer, who gets to see everything, including cloacked units. How many archons did Protoss have? How many of those did enter the vortex? How many stalkers are there under the cloacking field? These are questions you and I can promptly answer, but it was impossible/very difficult to know in the heat of the battle for Losira. It was a loss/loss situation created by Brown's brillant move, to which Losira reacted by gambling. He lost, but they say hindsight is 20/20. I stand by my word, that was a solid decision.

I said roughly the same thing, you mustve missed it perhaps it. Atleast as far as the logic of why he did it. I disagree that he made the better call though. It was a lose lose but it turned out to be the worse of the 2 because this way he lost everything the other option of microing his bls around the vortex so stalkers would have a harder time hitting them. Standing around and doing nothing wouldve been stupid aswell stalkers kill BL's doing nothing pretty quickly last I heard, and yeah he couldve fungled and just in anyway just dragged the battle on. He took a conscious decision and it was the wrong one if not the worse of the 2. You also have to realise keeping his bls alive longer allows him to remax alot quicker and stay in the game.

Also, either people don't like power rangers or a lot of people know code geass o.o either way, more publicity for the EPICNESS that is code geass, yay!
