Forgg's macro wasn't that better when they were on even terms. Both had the same amount of SCV's and expansions. It only really tipped when Polt derped with the banshee defense.
This was on purpose. If forgg felt he needed to take a 3rd to win then he would have and he also would have made more scvs. You don't want to go above 50 + scvs if you don't plan on taking a 3rd base, which clearly ForGG didn't plan for that.

on the other hand, it was kind of lucky that he forced a CC cancel at the start...that certainly gave him a BO advantage.
They both went with the same build. Both made three (or four) reapers. Instead of waiting for all of them, Forgg pressured with only one and lost it. Then Polt came in with all of his and forced the cancel before dying to hellions/the rest of Forgg's reapers.
In short, build turrets and don't suicide marines randomly = close game/maybe a win. Don't build turrets and send two marines at a time to randomly die to banshee = I'm behind 30 supply and need a miracle.

Watching ForGG destroy GSL Super Tournament champion was hilarious, it's like he can just do whatever he wants and still win lol

If you guys really think fOrGG practiced 10 hours a day for 10 months before joining oGs... well I don't know what to say. -_- Considering he obviously planned to play pro sc2 do you really think he played one hour a day and didn't watch GSL for those 10 months?

Dude, did you miss MVP winning three GSLs? And yes, MVP > forGG when they switched... forGG slumped hard after his MSL victory in 2008 fOrGG was still very much better than MVP when MVP switched to SC2. They have different switch time. If you compare 18 months ago MVP with 6 months ago ForGG, I would say MVP is better on BW. If you compare 18 months ago MVP with 18 months ago ForGG, maybe ForGG is better.
Does it matter ? MVP was still the best Broodwar pro that switched until ForGG. It already proves if you did well in Broodwar you will do well in SC2, who was better or not at that time does not really matter, broodwar pro's are mechanical multitasking monsters, and they will do well.

MVP got one lucky tournament run and took one game off of Flash, while ForGG takes games off top players all the time (though not consistently after his MSL win) and makes it to Starleagues way more often. On KESPA rankings, ForGG was ranked 16 before he retired. MVP was ranked 39 at his PEAK. I expect ForGG to dominate SC2 harder than what MVP has done so far.
Artosis argued about how fOrGG wasn't better than MVP at the end of their carrers on BW and that he didnt think fOrGG would be able to do as good in sc2 as MVP. Love artosis but sometimes he's biased and when he makes a comment on state of the game, most of TL follows, sad but true.

Probably his first games in sc2 and hasn't put in any time practicing. Amirite?
i think he only joined the a pro team once he decided that sc2 would indeed take off...and with possible insider info from KT and oz (that's hwaseung oz, not the sc2 player) it is not too unreasonable to conclude that he was playing the ladder casually until he could secure a stable career. i mean why play so hard when the sc2 scene in korea was kinda rocky until recently.
