I still don't get why people keep defending MVP as a better BW player over ForGG. If SC2 didn't exist at all, no one would be defending him. MVP got one lucky tournament run and took one game off of Flash, while ForGG takes games off top players all the time (though not consistently after his MSL win) and makes it to Starleagues way more often. On KESPA rankings, ForGG was ranked 16 before he retired. MVP was ranked 39 at his PEAK. I expect ForGG to dominate SC2 harder than what MVP has done so far.

Everybodys, gonna go like, but forgg played pretty normal but polt played worse than usual.

It was forgg's constant pronged harass that made polt look like he played so bad. Under such constant pressure, any player would be forced to deviate from his play if he has to keep chasing down a white speck on his screen.

If any of you think what forgg did with his multitasking harass was normal, just watch supernova vs ganzi last gsl(two top terrans) and see how they utterly failed with their multitasking + banshee control in the face of aggression.
ForGG was able to handle the battle, control 2 banshees well while macroing at home. I don't think i seen anyone has such good mechanics other than MVP.

So when forgg wins Code S are people still going to doubt whether the top BW pros would dominate SC2?

Dude, did you miss MVP winning three GSLs? And yes, MVP > forGG when they switched... forGG slumped hard after his MSL victory in 2008

fOrGG was still very much better than MVP when MVP switched to SC2.

They have different switch time.
If you compare 18 months ago MVP with 6 months ago ForGG, I would say MVP is better on BW.
If you compare 18 months ago MVP with 18 months ago ForGG, maybe ForGG is better.

6 months ago fOrGG was chilling by the beach, sipping some tequila and practicing SC2 part time and getting in GM under the ID Raptor. He's been gone from BW for a really long time dude.

Man, ForGG is just brutal. It's insane to watch his Banshee micro (which might be the best I've seen) and keep an eye on his resource tab with both minerals and gas staying sub 200.

He'd been playing for 10 months before joining oGs.... so... very...false..

Playing might not mean 'practicing' per se, though. Who knows how casually he played the first months, but other than that, you are right.

He's been in GM since it started *shrug*

+ a brood war pro, playing casual ... highly doubt that
Let's not all pretend he just switched, i am looking forward to what he's capable though.

Why wouldn't he play casually? He wasn't getting paid for it (still isn't I believe).

If you guys really think fOrGG practiced 10 hours a day for 10 months before joining oGs... well I don't know what to say. -_-

Singers are usually better than the rest of the populace at emulating sounds in any culture. Also, a few members of SNSD actually grew up in America so I wouldn't draw too many conclusions off just this video.

Well..... I mean.... they're performers you know? They perform for a wide area of an audience so the "f" sound is practiced by them. Also, they recorded and American version of "The Boys" as well.

I think since he's a BW pro he probably just filled in for someone else who was sick just before the match started. Probably his first games in sc2 and hasn't put in any time practicing. Amirite?

Yeah, he JUST joined a team and there's no reason to do that shit if you're not taking care of real life stuff. He played casually for a long time, but he wasn't practicing 10 hours a day for 8 months before joining a team just to surprise people.

Looking at the games, fOrGG played well, but it wasn't like he had much better macro or anything. Polt even had more SCV's and the quicker CC in game two. He lost the game because he couldn't handle the simple banshee harass. He took out the tank/marine force of fOrGG, but he lost like 30 SCV's to banshees.

Disagree; he had a better unit composition than Polt.

You can argue that, but if Polt doesn't derp and let fOrGG kill half of his SCV's with an a-move idle banshee, then the supplies are even, the economy is even, etc. No question that fOrGG played much better, but the banshees in both games were the reason why he won. Shit, Polt almost came back in game two, but fucked up his first drop and then killed 30+ SCV's with his second.

That just shows Finn outplayed Polt in multitasking as well (as far as it was concerned)

Ya it wasn't really so much that Polt was playing worse than usual but instead he just got out multitasked hardcore. I don't think he has ever faced banshees quite like that before.

Finn is like a MMA who doesn't choke versus Polt. Just does his multitasking other things as well as he can.

Oh yeah MMA must be really proud of Finn for taking out Polt

Oh i actually did not know that. That does indeed change everything.

I never ever followed Broodwar, so I have none of this BW bias, all I just saw was a completely lopsided series starting off with a flawless Mech play in game 1, game 2 was more scrappy but this guy is really, really good and it's painfully obvious, if you can't see that then i suggest you watch harder.
