MLG Providence Day 3 Live Report Thread - Page 438

Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

dude like the st. louis cardinals. MVP is getting hot at the right time... 2011 Phillies= MMA.

MVP is just getting started... and he is a better player than leenock.

lol MrBitter saying that the winner of this tournament is the best player in the world. He needs to learn that winning one tournament does not make one the best player, it's the consistency. so regardless of the outcome, MVP will still be the best players in the world after Providence.

He's a caster, it's part of his job to sell the tournament. He can't be like, well this isn't the GSL so it doesn't really matter. Or he needs to win other high level tournaments that are competing with MLG for viewers like blah, blah blah. See.

Artosis even said this is the best tournament in the world.

this guy is so underrated and underappricated

I don't understand this, he is without any doubt the best player in sc2 so far, 3 gsl wins+ 1 final + blizzcon + an MLG ... I can't understand how people don't recognise it >_<.

Well I guess people saying he's the best terran in the world is now not recognizing his skill, especially considering how beastly korean terrans are...

Yeah I don't get it. Pretty much everyone agrees that he's one of, if not the strongest terran in the world. How is that underrated?

I won't cheer for him personally unless he has a huge slump and becomes the underdog!

I think MVP is right now considered the best SC2 player as of now. That can not be really debated. I do have to excuse MMA for not being properly allowed to heat up and turn to beast mode like he can be.. MMA at his best can not be beaten IMO.

only BW players could probably take down MMA.

(MVP was a BW player .........)

Pretty much every succesful korean sc2 player at the moment was a BW pro or amateur.

Yeah there's only a few that didn't come from BW . Polt is like the only one that came from Wc3 though that actually won something.

I believe you are correct actually :O Polt wasn't even a wc3 pro haha, just an amateur :p Polt so good...

remind me why we care whether it was an all in again?

and also, what constitutes an 'all in' these days? the way the term gets thrown around, in a lot of the cases I could easily see the game pan out even if it just did a decent amount of damage, so that ain't all in. It's virtually the exact same thing as a timing push, only whereas a supposed "all in" focuses less on followup and more on dealing damage in order to gain an edge, the timing attack would invest less in army and have a better followup but less potential for destroying shit. Where do you people even draw the line? Why is one worse than the other? And why in the name of god do people insist on calling things cheese that are clearly a reactionary response based on scouting intel?

Who is FXOLeenock? Has he ever come to MLG before?

Gonna be funny/sad if some random dude comes into the championship and takes the 50K over all the other plays who came to every MLG.

That's how it's been for the majority of the MLG's....

There are currently no player left who have been to every mlg.

Nani has been to all but 1
MVP has been to 1
DRG has been to 2
Leenock has been to none

People calling MVP cheesy obviously haven't watched his games from other events. Please kindly zip it, or go watch them, or leave.

Seriously, especially compared to MC, I've seen him take a 3rd like twice the whole tourney.

lol I guess people didn't watch the first MVP v MC match where MVP went fast triple CC after his second in most of those games

I think he's implying that MC hasn't been taking his 3rd much in this tournament. I could be mistaken though.

People need to remember, mvp is playing a ton of games. On top of that he has wrist problems. The shorter the game, the better for mvp.

After MVP's anti-climatic timing push win over my beloved MC I am gonna cheer for Leenock to kick that terran ass!

Gogo, kid! (Hoping for some epic games though!!!)

Why did MC wait til his Nexus was dead to attack into Mvp's army? He wouldn't have had to rebuild that Nexus and he would have lost the same army. I really think that would have made such a HUGE difference.

Because he didn't have enough units. He was waiting for the Archons. Without the Archons, his army would have died.

His real mistake there was not anticipating an all-in close air spawns on Metalopolis, tbh.

His archons were done lol

Really? I thought his first one was morphing and he was warping in 2 HTs while MVP was shelling his expo.

Anyway. I'm too tired now. I'll end up going on about balance and get banned, so see you tomorrow.

Good luck Naniwa.

You make us Protoss look bad, so please leave.

Lol just looking at your post history you're a terran player. Don't put words in our mouth. That kind of fake race representation should be banned.

Actually Leenock dropped to the lower bracket 1 round earlier than MVP, and MVP got a BYE in the first round of the open bracket.
