Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly: - NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever. Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

During his reign, when no one could beat him, people were actually joking he might destroy e-sports because of how boring the scene had become. It's the same thing with MVP. The difference with Flash and MVP (apart from Flash being an RTS genius) is that people universally acknowledge Flash to be the greatest player of his era, and arguably the greatest BW player ever (and some would argue, like me, that he's the greatest RTS player in history). As you can see in this thread, there are people who think MVP isn't even the best T in the world. Huge difference. It's a fucking joke, because there's no denying that MVP is the greatest SC2 Terran to date.

Yeah, cheesy players like MC and Boxer should stop playing sc2. Are you kidding me????? You need to be punished for disrespecting a 2 time GSL winner. Unbelievable.

Gonna be funny/sad if some random dude comes into the championship and takes the 50K over all the other plays who came to every MLG. My god.... WHO IS ? Oh, just a random top 5 zerg from korea.... You know ? The country with many good sc2 players. Where there is that thing called GSL and where Leenock is the last zerg in Ro8 right NOW ?

I'll end up going on about balance and get banned, so see you tomorrow. Good luck Naniwa. You make us Protoss look bad, so please leave.

1.- MVP's TvP is clearly not up there with his other matchups, and he DOES all in a lot. I'm not saying this is bad, he just has great decision making and awesome builds but he seems to struggle with protoss early pressure so he seems to prefer ending the game before that happens. 2.- MC gets allined ALL THE TIME. This is so goddamn true I just don't see how people are so oblivious to this. He must be the most allined player in history. MC has awesome macro in the late game and when he's gotten there he's shown it. It's not only his early game builds that are strong, he just seems to create some strange effect on his opponents. Either MC goes for some early pressure and ends up winning, or screws up some multitasking or positioning and loses, or get allined. He almost never gets to play macro games, and when he does, he's usually very good at them. 3.- Many progamers have stated how deadly MC truly is. People like to bash him a lot and say he's not a good player but this cannot be any more false.. 4.- Current TvP metagame in the top level sucks. Badly. Only code A TvPs are any decent and that's because the players usually aren't the best. When the best protoss face the best terran, games like these are the result, the matchup is really stale.

I don't watch Korean SC so I have never seen him before. Just kinda undermines the whole grand championship thing if some guy can not participate the whole season yet still show up and take the big prize. Sorta like NASL, they do like 3000 matches, and then some guy who never played in NASL takes the big prize, making the 3000 placement matches pointless.

He's also a really young guy, still in school...and it's easy to see he's got a lot of potential. He's kinda like the korean Stephano, only cuter :p He was stuck in Code-A for a long time Got the worst up & down draws

When you cut economy and tech in order to maximize army potential for an attack, you are all-in. You need to win the game then or be behind in tech and economy or at least do significant damage. Those were both all-ins. And it was 100% the right decision in that instance. By making only units, he's safe if MC decides to all-in after the nexus loss, he can kill him if MC goes the other way - as he did - and starts expanding and teching like crazy and if MC does a middling build, MVP retains a solid advantage. There's a huge difference between a calculated all-in based on the game situation and something like a 6 pool.
