Was it just a random match that they casted? A show match? I went into it with the assumption that it was a qualifier for IPL 4, but it seemed to me that they "neglected" to mention that fact until after the game. Although I suppose it should have been obvious in the first place from the absurd games.

Sure it's a good list, but my mass Koreans and mass Philippines when there are so many other countries out there in the Pacific that should be qualifying for this.... And what the heck? SaSe, NaniWa and cArn are in it too? Seriously makes no sense. They are in Korea so their using this as a chance to qualify for the Pacific instead of the European? Overall I'm disappointed with this qualifier.... It doesn't REALLY matter because only like 4 players on this list are capable of winning, and the others are just there to test their luck, but still, this could be WAY cooler ~_~

There is definitely a conflict in interest between "PPSL" and "IPL PACIFIC qualifiers". PPSL as I see it, is mainly for promoting esports in the Philippines and showcasing the host's (Team AZK) players and other local talent. While IPL qualifiers should be about being represented by the best in Asia Pacific region as a whole, not just best in the Philippines, a few players living in Korea, and Sen. If I'm not mistaken a big part of the lineup was already decided before this even became an IPL qualifier, hence based on how you look at it, I guess you could say a bit disappointing. Hoping for a big improvement and at least a separate tournament for the succeeding qualifiers.

It will pave the way for more sponsors, more tournaments, and will publicize Sc2 in the region. It's a good springboard not only for PH Esports but for SEA as well. Good for progamers in SEA region, even if they weren't able to join this one. More money for ya in the future. It's a good business decision IMO.

Honestly I think this is the first live event in the SEA region that has some big names in them. Hopefully more will pick up in Australia/Malaysia/Singapore etc. Any Pro Gamer would go to every tournament they can possibly go to so they can get money or try there luck against better players. I have done that before when I was playing CS 1.6 for money. I would go to every tournament possible to win and get some mad cash and I don't care where it is and who I'm playing as long as I can go. So I'm pretty sure that's how all these big names are looking at PPSL. If they win then they get money plus being qualified for IPL 4. Judging by the prize pool from IPL 3 I would definitely try everything to qualify for IPL 4.
