Can we please stop counting matches played between players 6000 miles away? Stephano's good and all but you don't need to overplay his achievements, let them speak for themselves. It's Lucky's first real tournament alongside his teammate Inori, and when the hell did TheStC last compete?

Well, if it was truly a coinflip there would still be a 25% total chance of getting 3-0 or 0-3, so... 12,5% chance for a 3-0 if it's completely random and each player has an 50% to counter the other's build Hence 25% for 3-0 or 0-3 nope... 12,5% for one player winning 3-0, it's not counted separately Yup, so there's 25% chance of either 3-0 or 0-3. do you really not understand? there is 50% chance that 1 player will counter the other in 1 match in 1 match if we flip the coins, there is 25% chance that they'll be both heads, 25% both tails and 50% for heads-tails- that includes both cases you're mentioning. with the same logic it's 50%*50%*50% in three matches, all possible outcomes included that's 12,5% not 25%
You are completely misunderstanding the other guy's point. He is saying that, if we assume that a ZvZ really is a coinflip, there is 25% chance that one of the two players will be up 3-0 after three games. This is 100% true.
Here is a more concrete example. Suppose that we say that the games between Lucky and Stephano were just coinflips (I know they weren't and Lucky got outplayed, but just assume that for now). Then there is a 12.5% chance that Stephano wins the first 3 games, and a 12.5% chance that Lucky wins the first 3 games. That means there is a 12.5% + 12.5% = 25% chance that one of the two will be up 3-0.

Haters gonna hate anyway, just let them trolling. The Internet keep the moronic comments they make and we'll be able to throw it to their face in a year when Stephano will stop playing.

love it, award ceremonies are always just slightly awkward lol. go stephano!

Koreans are so well mannered, they always show such great respect. I love it.

Awesum! Keep it up IPL and Stephano!

Stephano beat theSTC who is a very strong korean so yes he is VERY good. he played Huk in the championship bracket too, and TheStC is Code B...sure he's good, Inori and Lucky are good to, I'm just saying he doesn't stand a chance against the likes of MVP, everyone with a brain knows this, mainly aiming this at some of the more ridiculous comments in this thread
He beat Huk 2-0 at HSC3 too

so, so , very awkward ceremony???

is it me or does the translater seem kind of overwhelmed. It almost makes me feel like Lucky said in korean "Stephano was horrible and I should have beat him, losing to him makes me want to kill myself" Translater "....*subtle chuckle*.... he says stephano is very good and he's grateful to be here"

Pretty pathetic forum display as per par. Esports is esports, hating on one over another is stupid. Thinking SC2 is that much more deserving/better than LoL or any other game....
What do you think the BW pros think of SC2?

What's the chance for 0-3?
half of that, since the 12,5% includes both cases. so there was a 6,25% that player 1 hardcounters the other and 6,25% that player 2 hardcounters player 1
of course that's not realistic measure since both of them can use like 10 different openings and not exactly half of those hardcounter each other, and the chance of them choosing one build is not random
