heck, if someone is good at the game i want to see them play. i dont care if they fix matches. if upmagic can win tournaments why ban him?

Cheating is very harsh in sc2 world, even circumstantial evidence (a la combatex) results in an almost immediate ban from many communities, and since the tourneys depend on those communities the tournaments as well.

When something that goes beyond cheating and gets into match fixing, which is illegal as well as immoral/against the rules, it's a guaranteed ban. If he was allowed in american tournaments, i could see lots of possible backlash from the korean SC2 community.

Personally i feel upmagic is very good, and should be allowed to play professionally, but i also understand the exact situation. Other professional athletes who fix matches get even worse penalties then a ban. The fact he wasn't an orchestrator is the only reason he didn't go to jail.
