Even Dreamhack and IEM, which I'd argue were probably the best foreigner tournaments before IPL and MLG really stepped up the last few times, can't really compare at the moment. As for GSL, it's kind of hard to compare because the format is rather different, though I think I like the IPL and MLG format more because seeing an entire tournament play out in a weekend helps with keeping up the excitement. | ||

I'd count Dreamhack into that category, they just haven't had a big event in a while. Everything announced so far about the winter event seems to indicate them stepping up as well. | ||
