Welcome to Map of the Month #8, the second month of Season 2!
In addition to eight professional players, Map of the Month brings five brand new community maps. This month, the players will fight in a single-elimination Best of Five format. MotM regulars sixjaxDDE and Whiplash are joined by relative newcomers like sixjaxViBe and DdoRo. The fantastic players guarantee entertaining games - and to top it all off, the ESL crew will be casting!

Thanks! Just fyi: there are actually fewer bases on CotD than on any other finalist map except Cascade :D

Beautiful maps,City of the Damned looks really cool :O I used to make alot of maps in Wc3 but haven't figured out the sc2 editor yet

The ESL Partnership is amazing :D
Even if I never post in the custom maps sections, and the only time I opened the editor ended up in another proof that I have no artistic talent whatsoever, I read the mapmaking forum a LOT, and I'm always depressed by the amount of incredible maps that we never see in big tournaments, compared to the maps that we always see since 1year now (not even mentionning the ladder maps -_-). I'm so excited to see MotM having a partnership with ESL, its fucking great :D :D
I really hope that you guys manage to get some maps in big tournaments, MotM is great and all, but the quality of the maps you produce really deserves more attention.
oh, and I'm really looking forward to see games on Artifice, the map looks great !

its the lightning....costum lightning is hardly doable and in my opinion its way over the top on cotd.

some of these maps look really cool. Going to play them with friends for the rest of the night. Is there any way to upvote or help the map makers get there maps more know? like make it puplic game even those its custom between friends. Does that help ?

(: we should see some more macro games on these two maps. Artifice is the best rotational symmetry map in sc2 to that day i think and Cascade se is a macro map where you can expand in two directions depanding on playing style or racial preferences. I so hope we see more games on these two. the cast/esl partnerhip is such a great feature. finally a great platform for this maping tournament!

It's funny I was thinking Cascade looked a bit too much like Daybreak. But of course my mind is open until I actually SEE the map in action! Strongly looking forward to City of the Damned though, iGrok is awesome!
