Finally someone from AJ says something nice Some of you guys are just hilarious. You almost sound like you truly believe WoW is more deserving of a stream than SC2. I don't play SC2 and even I think this is the right way to go. Sure, if Blizzard cared, it would've been nice to have another stream dedicated to WoW (guess It's too hard when you don't care).
Deal with it, whether you like it or not, SC2 is a balanced and quite competitive game, even a SC newb like me realizes the extent of some of the big plays. Next to that, WoW is a Hello Kitty: Island Adventures piece of imbalanced mumbo jumbo. Live with it, WoW isn't going to be competitive, ever.

From MMO-Champion, a very popular WoW fansite. You have been warned. + Show Spoiler +I've been tuning in to the stream of the European BN invitational and was quite excited about some of the games in both SC2 and WoW, only to be driven away by a pathetic polish caster who cant speak understandable english to save his life. Who put this clumsy fool in charge of casting games? The american that's co-casting with him must be so embarrassed to sit next to that clown. Anyone else seen this and heard this caster? Is it really too much to ask that they have a caster that speaks comprehensible english?
Rotterdam...is dutch. (Someone replied)
whatever, he needs to see a speech therapist and take english lessons...maybe social therapist too or gtfo..so disappointing to hear that clownish voice aaaaaaaaaaalll the time
+ Show Spoiler +I generally don't like to hate too much but this clearly shows how Blizzard doesn't give a fuck about what they are in Europe...
- There are two hosts. One is a disgusting fat f*ck with the most retarded haircut anyone has ever seen, not even mentioning the bald spot on his head (not his fault though, I get that but when you have something like that it sure as hell would be a time to reconsider your haircut).
- The other one looks exactly like one of the guys who were renovating our building last month. I mean no offence but shouldn't hosts have pretty much only one quality and that is looking good enough to be shown on TV (stream, whatever)?
- Those guys who comment on gameplay... Lol... Especially the accent of one of them. Get a guy who can at least speak the damn language.
- They translate every stupid bullshit into Polish even though you can see that 95-100% of the crowd understands english (they laugh at funny stuff when it's said originally).
- With ease they just cut out all WoW games for the day so they can show gazilion SC2 games and then 10min "interesting" interviews about nothing. Probably so you can see those lovely hosts.
- They don't give a shit about streaming. They only have one stream that shows the above, no god damn WoW... And obviously they don't even charge for it because then the joke would really be complete.
I am really pissed off here.
- I was like "YES, finally I get to see a WoW arena tournament during a day and won't have to watch it between like 10pm and 7am" - Blizzard: "LOL JK, we don't give a fuck because in this time US can't watch it so here you have this crap..."

I really like the Mrbitter Rotterdam combo. We can call them Mr. Dam )

Those poor bastards paid to watch WoW, it's not entirely fair to laugh at them.

They are; but AJ as a whole isn't as heavily moderated as TL is. There are almost 500 people looking at that thread; a moderator isn't one (that isn't anonymous!) They've been making strides to actually make it less bash-fest and more like it was four years ago.. but it's progress.
In the mean time, at least these SC2 games are exciting :O

I think just about every poster there would be nuked on TL ^_ ^ AJ has nonexistant moderation in comparison to TL. Both sites are supposed to be the quality community sites for their game, but AJ is just a giant shithole. Mad props to the TL moderators for keeping this place so nice!

there's a slight difference between hoping that someone would bomb a venue and calling someone a fat retard.

because why not? Because there's a reason why this doesn't happen in other sports/events? It happens all the time? No it doesn't. do you actually watch other sports? Yes, and play them. If you've competed in anything serious your entire life you would know that a lot of people don't want to be interviewed straight after a defeat. Adrenaline is still going through you, you've put a lot of emotion and effort into to the game you've just lost. You're not really thinking straight or composed. Seriously, pro gamers within in the community have commented on this many times. And always say they'd want at least a few minutes to calm down and compose themselves. What kind of sport does not interview the loser(s)? They usually interview them after they've had time to at least compose themselves. Go down the tunnel, have a talk down from the coach etc... You don't exactly see them sticking a mic infront of the players while they are on the pitch. That's for the winners. And they don't HAVE to give interviews either unlike the coaches, it's to their discretion whether they want to or not. Very often in sports you will ask somebody for an interview and they'll say no not now. I know this because i write a sports column in my local teams programme. They do not stick a microphone in their face while they're sitting at their computers either. They don't get far of the sideline though. I have lived for sports basically my whole life and I have vivid memories of loser meltdowns in interviews in every sport I've followed. You can't just pretend that's not happening because you write a column in a local team page. In Tour de France it happened everyday, in most football leagues it happens every round, I have no idea what you are trying to do.
I dunno what to say man, I interview players after games as part of my job but you clearly know more about the subject than i do through your passion of following sports your entire life lol. I'm not saying never interview them at all, ofcourse they're gonna want to interview them. Get their opinions etc... But there's a time and a place and if you had competed in sports as much as you've followed them. You'd know that. Pro gamers have mentioned this all the time on SotG and other talk shows. They don't mind being interviewed. But they want a few minutes to cool off first cos they will not be in the right mindset to give people what they want straight after the match.

Of course it has, though almost exclusively by wow players who bought SC2 and got rolled. Never seen any death threats towards blizz on TL so far tbh, could have missed it though.

Jesus that critter is terrifying...

I'm sure we can all relate to how the WoW spectators feel about this...
We need to direct them towards the eagle stream in times like this.

Man Rottidam + MrBitter are so good.
ESL are in for a successful run.

While I agree it's a shit map, don't bring up that excuse for losing. He donated ~10 sentries, he fucked himself, he wasn't outplayed the slightest. So isn't that the definition of getting outplayed? Ret played better than Naniwa, therefore Ret outplayed him... Can't you read? He completely gave away ~10 sentries, that's not getting outplayed, that's him screwing himself over. If i kill my own hatch at the beginning of the game, that's not getting outplayed. Killing your own hatch can be a misclick Losing 8 sentries because you are too slow to force field is naniwa playing really badly. Which is why it's nani fucking himself over, not getting outplayed. If you fuck yourself over, and the other person wins because of this, doesn't that mean the other person played better. Granted, nani may have played badly and ret just played standard, but this means nani got outplayed. Being outplayed does not mean that you have to get out-macroed or out-thought, you can just make less mistakes and outplay someone. So why not use "won" instead of "outplay" According to you they are synonyms?
If we assume that the game is balanced (I know its not but its pretty close). The player who makes the better strategic decision or makes the less mistakes outplays his opponent and will therefore will win. Therefore for most SC2 discussions 'outplay' does lead to 'win'.
