Am I the only one who (also) followed MC vs Naugrim from the beginning? Seeing how MC stomped on everyone he played today, Naugrim is playing AMAZINGLY well.

grubby is an orc player. lyn is the only orc player that's doing well.

orc took the least skill in wc3 and it shows here.

Yeah but Grubby was insane in wc3 BEFORE the orc shenanigans started sooo. Just a matter of not being on team+having a life with his wife I guess (ie he could prac a lot more perhaps) i guess.

well grubby switched around feb giving him 4 months to get to a status that everyone else had almost a year to get to.

and honestly grubby is not doing bad at all.

I dont expect him to be a super hero like he was in wc3, a game he played since like he was 15 years old... but he is gonna be like a strong player.

anyone else thinking sase actually can make it through code b?! *dreaming*

Didn't he win a place in code a? I'm sure I remember seeign that he would be playing for the Fox/Foreigner team as well. With Lyn, Naniwa, SaSe, Thorzain and Moon they actually have a pretty strong line up.

He didn't actually win a spot in code A, only return tickets and the opportunity to stay in the GSL house for some time.

Really? I was of the impression he would be seeded into Code A directly.

Idra vs Kas is for who of them will advance, right?

If Merz wins against Naama (almost certain) and Sase (not likely) then it doesn't matter.

Did Grubby just 2-0 Kas? wtf

Kas is struggling lately (espcially today) and Grubby seems to be quite underrated, just because of NASL.

I'm a protoss player but I disagree strongly with you. Saying that Naugrim is bad or just good because of lategame zerg? Well, we'll see how far in the tournament he will go.

so if merz wins against Naama, Idra is out
merz than has 3 wins, one vs. Idra
if merz looses, Idra advances if he wins vs. Kas (and merz looses to Sase)

edit: for 2nd spot, Grubby is still in as well (but doesnt matter to Idra, since he won vs him)

Tiebreaker is map differential I believe (not H2H record).

So even if Merz beats Naama, IdrA could still advance.

Basically Merz has to lose to either Naama or Sase and then it will be up to map score.

Of course this assumes he beats Kas (which is not even remotely guaranteed the way he is playing).

upsets happen, and they're happening a lot here. you can't determine anything from one game or one series

Don't let Zerg get to that point. Horrible whine.

Idra is pretty lucky Kas has been playing absolutely terribly since he beat Naama earlier else he'd have been in real trouble in this group.

As it is he should still go through since the group is such a clusterfuck, Merz veers wildly in his level so he's beaten the guys he wouldn't have been expected to, and is losing to the guys he should have been competitive against.

====

Naugrim just went up 1-0 vs MC after an awesome game.
