Teams These are the teams that have shown interest in doing this Team Dignitas Evil Geniuses compLexity Gaming VT Gaming As well as any of the guys at gosucoaching. These are the teams that have not gotten back to me yet or had to say no for the time being, but I am still working on FXOpen Team Liquid
If this first tournament is successful, I plan on running these tournaments ~every 6 weeks on the entire NA server. With continued success, I will be able to make a few of these 100% free in the future, but not every one. Also, due to the entry fee change, lessons from high paid players like Idra won't be possible. If you would like to see a different team on this list that I have not included, please PM me and I will do my best to get in contact with them.

Contact me via PM or at e-mail me if you have any questions. The New England Starcraft 2 League is operating with an official license from Blizzard and will continue to do so.

oo lower level tournaments are great for the scene ^_^. Glad to see it's opened up to the entire NA Server as well.

Yes, this time around, it's for everybody, not just New England.

=\ So where does the rest of the revenue that you generate go exactly?
128 players, assuming you max out would bring you in $640.
Your giving out 3 lessons total plus some gear annnnnnd no prize money for winning.
Not trying to rag on your community input, fresh tournaments are a great thing, But somebody is going to ask this sooner than later, may as well be me.

I'm glad somebody asked The lessons obviously cost different amounts and I can't guarantee that I can get 'xyz' team gear for free. So some of the funds will go towards buying those items. Most importantly, here is where the greater majority of the money will go:
With continued success, I will be able to make a few of these 100% free in the future, but not every one.
I plan in siphoning the money right back into later tournaments.

=D Thanks for the response! Hope everything works out well!

I'm glad that you lowered the price from $10. Now you won't have to compete with the NASL Open tournament for submissions.

Sadly, this tournament has to be cancelled once more and it will be for a while. There always seemed to be a lot of interest form the various sites, though not enough people showed when the timer was counting down. I hope that someday in the future I will be able to provide this, or a similar tournament for the lower league community.

Best thing to do if u actually want to get this running is do a couple free tournaments. You can't just start off a tournament with an entry fee when nobody has ever seen or heard of it. If you really want to get it running, run a few free ones first, put some money in it for a prize, can be something as small as $20 for winner $10 for runner up. I mean will $30 really hurt your pocket?
Trying to start out a tournament and get traffic going to your site is just like a business. You gotta spend money to make money. Just my 2 cents.
