We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.
Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.
Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST |

That would be pretty embarassing and probably a sign of completely domination to come in future MLGs. Especially since the other 2 Koreans were eliminated by Koreans. If Idra wins he can go to Korea...
Well there are still some top level foreigners not playing especially Kas.

Let's say there was no extended series for this upcoming match. If MC beat Idra 2-1, Idra would be eliminated. However, over the course of this weekend, Idra would be up 3-2 in games against MC.
That is the basis for extended series. If you disagree with that, it's fine, but please at least understand why extended series is in place before you rage against it.
Most of the people who crusade against extended series don't understand it and jump on the bandwagon. No, results from two days ago shouldn't have any kind of value. Make it a BO5 for the last few rounds and you will still determine the better player without giving one an unfair edge.
It's not an unfair edge if it's based on results. I think it makes the tourney too long but it's not unfair at all.

Bing, I never thought I'd ever hate a commercial so much, I've seen it like 200 times in the course of 3 days.

It's a shame that MC has to 4-1 Idra ta advance, that really puts lots of pressure on him. I really hope to see MC in the finals since he's protoss, but also wish Idra to advance since he's foreigner. Both ways will do ^^

Most of the people who crusade against extended series don't understand it and jump on the bandwagon. Playing 2 Bo3 is better than extended series. Most of the people that dislike extended series understand it, and a lot of people that like it just don't seem to understand their reasoning. It actually happens on both side. On extended series, you can come from the winners bracket and start the grand finals 0-2, that unfair to whoever was the best player overall in the competiton, he deserves being ahead in the finals.
It is an advantage to just have to win 1 boX rather than 2.

He could've proven much more, if he didn't quit in that game vs. MMA.
Imagine if IdrA won vs. MMA. He would've had to play Losira in a ZvZ, a match-up that could've gone either way. If he won Losira, he would've had one of three extended series in the grand finals, either against MC or MMA or Losira, all of whom he would've beaten by that point.
IdrA could've come out as the champion of this entire MLG, thus proving himself to be the best player, or at least tied with best player, in the entire world. As it is, that seems highly unlikely and he will have to settle for best of foreigners, if that. (If he gets 4-0'd by MC in this next match, I don't think that would hold, either).

Most of the people who crusade against extended series don't understand it and jump on the bandwagon. Ummm a lot of people DO understand this, but everyone's talked over and over about why this is still a terrible system. It's rather disconcerting to see you dismiss popular opinion as band-wagoning, instead of realizing that maybe you are doing something your customers don't appreciate.
Players seem to be generally against Extended Series and fans are definitely against it. So I'm wondering what your rationale is for implementing something neither players nor fans want.

QUESTION: IF THE KOREANS WANT TO RETURN TO MLG BASED ON THEIR POINTS, AND MLG ALLOWS 4 NEW KOREANS IN EVERY GSL, IN A MATTER OF A COUPLE MLG"S THERE WILL BE NOTHING BUT KOREANS.
Is this correct?
No, because there aren't that many Koreans, that play as good as these 3 guys that are now up there. I think right now there are maybe 5-10 guys who could dominate like this...
mvp, mkp, bomber, alicia, nestea, nada come to my mind

There's no code S spot for this MLG. Check your facts. yes, there is....
