We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.

Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.

Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out.

So can anyone give me a link to watch live? When I click the red/blue stream from the TL list of current streams all I get is the MLG logo with some music playing. Is there a stream live now? Or am I watching some kind of VOD?

Those links are correct.
No matches casted right now, what a while.

Honestly don't read this tread then. This is where people talk about the games that are happening.

Should be starcraft games though not tennis.

Naniwa lost to Slush in a PvZ. MC has a 0-2 deficit against Idra. In the current metagame, as seen in this tournament and the GSL, PvZ is in Zerg's favor right now. If any non-Zerg is gonna win (unlikely), it's gonna be a Terran.

Two good Protosses actually lost vs Zerg for the first time in forever, so now Zerg is favoured?

Protos has been falling left and right in the GSL aswell

Yeah there are no Eastern European players here. Whould've been much more epic with them.

True, would love to see Whitera and Kas. Any idea why they arent there?

Kas and Dimaga might have Visa problems, apart from that i don't think Empire has the money to send over all their great players. The average earnings of a Ukrainian are about 280$ per month.

Someone really needs to sign Kas, its a real shame he isnt supported like say Haypro for example.

Yeah...you would think a team like EG would rather have him as their star terran than Lz. Little strange.

EG has Demuslim as well

Yeah...and he's really been lighting the world on fire.

yes because stating that Dreamhack was better makes any difference or means anything whatsoever right now.

yea it does. if anyone from the mlg staff reads this (they might) they will see that people liked dreamhacks organization A LOT more, it received way better reviews. then they might think about improving their service and make a better schedule so we can actually see some games

QQ

i would like to restate that dreamhack had 8 players, whereas mlg has 8 players in the lowerbrackets alone, not the championship or the consolation games. plus they have two other games to run too.

MMA might have something to say about that.

Yeah MMA will surely win if it isn't a zerg, thought SjoW has been doing great also.

There's only two protoss players left in this tournament but let's not forget MC and Naniwa is at least top 3 in the world, maybe Alicia/Xiaot somewhere there. However we've got so many good zerg players: July, Losira, Idra and Sheth. No suprise if any of these guys wins the whole thing.

Then of course the mediocre zergs left like HayprO, Slush and Moon who's not bad but not along the top.

Sjow won't beat July.

Part of the downtime is giving the casters a break, they had both been casting for 2 hours straight this morning. There also might not be any matches they can easily jump into right now and keep the tournament on time.

Remember too, this is the first time MLG has done two streams for a single game like this. I would imagine it will be improved in future events.

Yeah, based on the stats of the last 2 months. I don't have the link with me right now but there's a graph that shows it.. This tournament just further provides more data to that graph.

Any finishing 5th or higher would be higher than Moonan and Drewbie.

Any who finish 1st would be higher than Kiwikaki and Select.

This isn't 100% accurate but it's pretty close (and possibly accurate).

Well if the Koreans get points for their performance, then players like Socke or lower will no longer participate in MLG, cause flying in from Europe and fighting through the Open Bracket to win money is not worth the effort. Your chances are just not high enough.

When talking about Koreans im talking about those, that got invited NOT July who fought his way in there :D

You mean the Dreamhack tournament that had 8 players and only 2 could play at a time?

MLG can't do that, they'd have to turn it into a 2 week long event rofl.

yea but if they have so many games going on all the time, why dont we see any?! those downtimes are ridiculous

because the cam and spectator cant just jump into a game in progress. Not to mention you wouldnt want to jump into a game and then 5 min later have a better game like ret vs thorzain start
