Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402)

Did Thorzain just call drop play cheesy?

He rushed to that drop and stim timing by doing a non-economic build. It had to do damage.

It worked.

If it did not work, he probably would have lost.

that's called cheese.

Nothing wrong with it,

I aint saying anything's wrong with that. Honestly I love cheese It makes for more diverse games... I've just never heard drop play being called cheese before... Reapers, helions, bunker rush, many raxx and banshees sure... Just never drop play

Well, at least he had the guts to admit it

Hellions themselfs are not cheese, banshees themselfs are not cheese, what ussually matters is how you get those, and how much damage they need to do.

Still, there's a zillion meanings for cheese, I would probally just call it an all-in, but for some people they mean basically the same thing.

So at the end of championship pool play, final tally on Korea vs. The World (I've been keeping track since the start)

Moon: 3 - 2
MMA: 5 - 0
July: 4 - 0 (his loss was to a korean)
MC: 4 - 1
Losira: 5 - 0

Koreans: 21 - 3

If you take into account that Moon isn't even good enough for Code A, and that MC said he was extremely jet lagged against grack, I think we can end the argument here. The gap IS huge.

Korea FIGHTIN!! ^^;

Quit making excuses for Koreans. Freaking hate this. First its the server lags from cross country, then MLG decides to fly Koreans over for LAN, BUT NOOOOO That's not good enough for you. Now they have jet lag. Freaking deal with it. Top foreigners can easily take out Koreans, they aren't fucking Gods.

I don't know... these stats suggest the opposite of what you're saying for the vast majority of foreigners :|

Well Moon is an average korean and he lost a bit. And the other 4 are without a doubt 4 of the very best players in Korea. If these guys were only playing 4 of the top top top foreigners e.g. IdrA, Thorzain, Nani and Whitera, I'm sure the results would be fairly balanced. The koreans are playing people who are not on their level and not the best the foreign scene have to offer. Ofcourse all of these code s calibre players are pwning random foreigners, but the best of the best are still fairly equal in my opinion.

Uh, no. The foreigners you mentioned are the best of the best foreigners. The Koreans sent to MLG are 2nd tier (-MC) compared to the likes of MVP and especially Nestea.

Nice try though...

You calling July and Losira second tier?

and MMA.... moon would be the only one regarded as "second tier"

Moon isn't second tier, he isn't even in Code A.

LOL, you don't need a super hot and attractive girl with big boobs to make a good commercial...

Well they always make the commercial better

I don't mind the girl. It is so absurd. I love absurd commercials. Playing against herself and then stabbing herself in the boobs while saying it in the most monotome voice. Absurd. And funny.
I had a good night of sleep.

I'm actually going to guess 2-0 Idra. No doubt MMA is watching Thorzain vs Idra, but my guess is Idra didn't do anything to tip his hand vs MMA (though if you watch Idra it's pretty much always ling/bling/muta... personally I don't think Idra is going to plan something new for MMA)

Thorzain is a great guy though, very humble. How could you not like him? He's not stupid though, he knows Idra is more concerned about MMA at this point in time.

Yeah neither July or Idra played those two series very well, I don't think its fair to assume anything based on those series. Idra easily could have played better against MMA than July just did.

MMA is not as good as Bomber, MVP, and MKP. July and Losira are nowhere near as good as Nestea.

Its fun how ju count MMAs win against July but not Julys loss.... anyways 20-3 is still pretty awsome

It kinda went how it was expected to go though it went pretty awesome for the Koreans. The way I see it only 3 people at MLG (in the pool play) have a shot at taking down MMA July MC and Losira. Those 3 are Naniwa, Idra and Thorzain. Idra and Nani won there groups and Thorzain was in Idras group. Now I know other players have a shot at taking a Bo3 off of them (Sjow who should have beaten MMA and Morrow if he can get out of the Losers Bracket) but lets not pretend they sent over just anyone

MMA has possibly the best TvT in Korea and has shown that he can crush high level zergs as well. MC is the best protoss in Korea without question. Losira is probably the 2nd best zerg is korea and if hes not the 2nd best then Julyzerg is. So the only people who can beat the top koreans are the top non koreans.
