Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402) |

HOLY CRAP dude MMA got this in the bag! He can't beat Huk, what makes you think he's gonna take out MC? I can't see MMA winning this. Personally I feel it will either be 1) Losira 2) Idra 3) MC 4) July Naniwa as a dark horse, but I'd even put Naniwa over MMA at this point in time. (Zerg-filled tourney lol)
He didn't beat Huk. Doesn't mean he can't. Also, different players. Also one match. Also, another time. See what I'm getting at, here? You can't make judgements like that based on such a small sample size, it's horrifically ignorant.

Moon: 3 - 2 MMA: 5 - 0 July: 4 - 0 (his loss was to a korean) MC: 4 - 1 Losira: 5 - 0
Koreans: 21 - 3
If you take into account that Moon isn't even good enough for Code A, and that MC said he was extremely jet lagged against grack, I think we can end the argument here. The gap IS huge. Korea FIGHTIN!! ^^; To be fair HuK did 2-0 MMA, I mean, Dimaga, Sen, Huk, Jinro (ish, okay, not really), Moonglade not playing. And you conveniently excluded Moonan and Select, who are still Korean EDIT: Also, you counted the win for MMA yet you excluded the loss for July. How is that fair?
select and moonan are korean descent, but don't play in korea, big difference. people who are coming from korea style ladder are doing very well, as you can tell by the record he posted, that is what he is saying.

I think all the koreans are favorites ... and I'd then count Idra as a adopted korean due to his years living there, with Naniwa as the only person not having experienced the korean progaming culture having a chance.
If I had to pick one player, I'd pick MMA as my #1 favorite. He just looked sick good.

Those are all pretty sick players, not really that terrible to loose only when you're only playing players of this caliber, aslong as you give them a run for their money ofcourse. But no doubt Gretorp can't be happy with these results, just we've still got to remember how sick all these players are.

So any more games going on?

loop holes like that make me so angry, when you arguably have much better players still having to go through open brackets every time

Holy crap guys. Koreans on average are better then foreigners. But they are not invincible. Just shut up already

Vibe eliminates Morrow 2-0 in CLR1! #MLG

IIRC if someone who wins MLG is already at code A, the runner up gets the invite and so on. So in case of a july vs mc finals, the third place would take Code A.

I'm actually pretty sure he beat someone last season which is why he got seeded, but I don't remember who. It may have been sjMihai.

Korea FIGHTIN!! ^^; Well Moon is an average korean and he lost a bit. And the other 4 are without a doubt 4 of the very best players in Korea. If these guys were only playing 4 of the top top top foreigners e.g. IdrA, Thorzain, Nani and Whitera, I'm sure the results would be fairly balanced. The koreans are playing people who are not on their level and not the best the foreign scene have to offer. Ofcourse all of these code s calibre players are pwning random foreigners, but the best of the best are still fairly equal in my opinion. Uh, no. The foreigners you mentioned are the best of the best foreigners. The Koreans sent to MLG are 2nd tier (-MC) compared to the likes of MVP and especially Nestea. Nice try though...
MMA, Losira and July are not second tier.

Korea FIGHTIN!! ^^; Oh man the disparity you have the best koreans in the world with 1 weak link playing against a smattering of very good to very mediocre foreigners. It's skewed for them to win more than they lose really. It's not like they're only playing thorzain/naniwa/idra etc all day.

He beat OptikZero 2-0 last MLG (after coming last in his pool) to be somewhere in Top 20.
Gretorp has never won a series in 2 straight mlg pool plays.

I'm actually going to guess 2-0 Idra. No doubt MMA is watching Thorzain vs Idra, but my guess is Idra didn't do anything to tip his hand vs MMA (though if you watch Idra it's pretty much always ling/bling/muta... personally I don't think Idra is going to plan something new for MMA)
Thorzain is a great guy though, very humble. How could you not like him? He's not stupid though, he knows Idra is more concerned about MMA at this point in time.
