Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402) |

Sweet thanks for translating ^_^

I think hes actually the director of GOM That's really cool if he's one of the driving forces behind GSL, hell I love the guy. keep in mind he is also the guy who wrote the article saying that foreigners were just afraid and that is why they aren't going to korea. it's sort of true isn't it? foreigners are just afraid that they won't win anything in korea to make their trip worthwhile. If foreigners are confident that they could win GSL, why wouldn't they go? 80k for a first place is not a small amount.
That's also not what he directly said either. He just more or less pointed to the non-professional lifestyle of most foreigners. I don't think he ever insinuated that the foreigners were "afraid." Ridiculous.
Anyways, I hope July's ZvZ is up to par - Sheth will be a tough opponent.

July is the definition of agression, he basically showed to all the zerg out there how to play agressive. But he can play a straight macro game if he need to. But if he see weakness in your build he just go for the kill, he is a reactionnary agressive zerg. That's why he has an incredible amount of success with his agressive play, he doesn't do it blindly like a nub.

It will be an epic rematch! FTFY. Seriously though, will we get to see this? Would love a rematch between these two titans

How awesome would it be if Translator John came over to the U.S. as well as we had John and Hot Bid going around interviewing people in between matches. Trollings Round' Tha World.

I wasn't able to follow the tour yesterday but July was the only korean playing the open bracket afaik and MC and losira were not in any MLG before, right?! Losira is 3-0 (6-2) and MC is 2-1 (4-3). MMA, Losira, Bomber, and Moon were sent by GSL as part of the exchange program, so they were automatically seeded. Bomber had visa problems, so MC took his place since he has a visa.
thank you! that's the information that I needed

Pool B = MMA, July, Sheth, SjoW
Pool C = Idra, MC, Thorzain, Select
Pool A = Naniwa... and a whole bunch of awfully mediocre players. Their Korean rep (Moon) probably won't even qualify as a Top 50 SC2 player in Korea today.
Uggggghh......
You say so, yet Naniwa isn't all-killing his group.

im sure if korea had a LAN for a weekend or mid-week, a lot of foreigners would fly to compete

Uggggghh...... only player that's really bad in group A is Gretorp. Others are fine imo
But that's the problem. They're just "fine". Put Select in that group and he probably finishes 2nd or 3rd (Naniwa is obviously more than fine, but the others leave something to be desired). Idra, MC would all finish #1 in that group easily. I think Tyler and Ret would both finish in the top half as well.
Naniwa is great, and Moon/Slush are pretty good. But the group is the anti-group of death. They even got arguable the weakest OB qualifier.
