+1 protoss armor wasn't finished but the terran army still melted so easy, I actually thought it would go the other way with marine shields and stim up

Now I don't know that much about protoss but were the casters wrong with saying the forcefields were bad? It seemed like he wanted to block the retreat rather than the incoming bio so his zealots couldn't get kited. I might be wrong though, anyone wishes to clarify?
