idra is doing a great job commenting, unlike so many commentators he doesnt miss things, he doesnt talk all the time, and when he does talk, it is concise and insightful. he should really do this more on his stream once hes back from NASL it would definitely add another dimension to his appeal

i love him as a commentator, but i feel like that's just getting caught up in the moment. He's trying to be clairvoyant, and so he's jumping up to a huge conclusion, so he can express as much as he possibly can as fast as he possibly can. i do feel like there needs to be some level of excitement between the casters, and we definitely DON'T need something like a golf commentary (and he's lining up his put and...there it goes...right on target, and he sinks it.).

I'm more than willing to overlook any "jump to conclusion" like you say to keep that liveliness in his voice, and prevent it from dropping down to nothing.

however, when all anyone's saying is, "ahhh banelings" for 15-20 seconds, i feel like we'd need to re-evaluate how we're valuing commentating

Gotta agree with you there. People rightfully say that Artosis is more articulate at analyzing the game than Tasteless or Gretorp/Incontrol, but Idra is just a cut above all of them.

Especially in the ZergvsX games. Just wish he would liven it up a little instead of the constant monotone.

Tastosis and Idra are the 3 (2?) best casters right now hands down.

Tastosis are a great duo because there's almost no downtime in the casts, they're always saying something analytical or some joke.

Idra literally doesn't miss a single thing on the map and on any tabs and he's right in 95/100 calls he makes. Downside is that monotone.

But those 2 dudes and the girl who cast GSL in Korean makes me wish I knew Korean >
