I just got put off by IdrA's casting already... "Moon is certainly the better player"... I really don't like that, it just feels dismissive to hear, particularly considering that even while playing like shit, Rainbow still just got knocked out of Code S, and Moon isn't even in Code A. You make that soon like Moon is bad. Stability in Code S and A is at best a fantasy. Moon isn't bad by any means, I didn't even mean to imply that. He just certainly isn't the better player as IdrA said... Also, second thing that I just found that bugs me, I actually mentioned this in the EG Master's Cup thread as something I was worried about with IdrA's casting, but there weren't really notable offenses in the EGMC. "Kiwikaki is abusive", what does the even mean? I never understood what that could be interpreted as other than abusing balance of the game, unless he means abusing the playstyles of his opponents, which I doubt. I don't see how you can say that either. Rainbow's been on the downslide since his apex, and Moon went down to players who've had surprising success in GSL (Lyn, anypro, hell Virus too). Kiwikaki abuses the strengths of his race, like any good player. I can't say that I don't think Moon is necessarily "certainly the better player", what? If every good player abuses the strengths of their race, what's the point of the word? I've never seen IdrA call a Zerg abusive. I agree with Idra because of results, who these players are winning/losing against, and how they are losing. You're entitled to your opinion, I just disagree with it. There is no point. "Abuse" is just recognition and application of your race's strengths. Idra is obviously biased in thinking Protoss' strengths are imba, but he knows their strengths nonetheless. He just thinks they are unfair.

Its use really has no benefits, all it does is connote some sort of imbalance/cheapness when it's used to describe play. This game is about winning by any means possible. The word "abuse" has no place in a competitive game like SC2 where the rules are all defined by the game itself. The term "abusive style" just makes it sound like one player is bullying the other around in a dishonorable way, and paints a mental image of the "abused" player as some crying, whimpering, bruised individual, curled up in a corner somewhere. It's just a stupid word that's inappropriate for a competitive RTS, in my opinion. Abusive can equal smart. If my opennent double expands I can "abuse" that by doing a 4 gate.

Jesus, can we at least keep idiotic balance stuff out of casting please. Kiwikaki is a very good player, he's not "abusive". .....Are you serious? Yes, I'm serious. Abusive doesn't equal imbalance, christ. It means you do something designed to do tons of damage if your oppenent doesn't react correctly. I know what abusive is, christ. How does 18 nexus fall under that category? It doesn't. Idra just loves calling every single Protoss in the world abusive. He's good at casting but it would be better if they wouldn't let him cast Protoss. Because it gives you a huge early economy and quick tech? Were you not listening at all? I have no idea why I bother arguing with one of the biggest Idra fanboys but no. That's not the case. Honestly if you want to put stuff in perspective like that every single build in Starcraft 2 is abusive. It's such a fucking retarded way to describe things. I guess he should have 4gated but that would have been abusive too. 3gate sentry expand is abusive too.
