Never said they were the same, said they had a similar problem I would agree...Artosis is hardly a top Masters player, let alone GM. To be honest his games vs fenix i would have to argue that he barely masters caliber or lower Not saying Artosis is awesome, but to be fair he is playing these NASL games at like 5 am and with latency which comes from playing from Korea.
Yeah his recent streaming that he does on normal Korean time and normal latency are much better then what he has been able to show at NASL.

Not exactly, I've always seen him put down 2 at once when he can afford. Theres no specific timing you do it when money lets up. I think you may be thinking about PvZ where the 4th goes up relatively quickly if you aren't going into tech mode. But when you are teching heavily like tyler the extra gates aren't too useful immediately you just want them for a push. Also note he did go robotics before the 2 extra gates. He really wasn't in a bad position before the engagement. The EMPs just caught him and his sentries. No FFs means the entire terran bio force bearing down on you, theres nothing anyone could've done.
Well, he didn't have to idiotically engage up the ramp into an disadvantageous concave with infrastructural support to deflect stalker damage and screw up pathing.

Eh but even his bnet ladder results put him at mid-masters in any event, we should stop derailing this thread I saw a replay of artosis from ladder the other day, and it was well, painful. mainly cos im such a huge fan, it hurt to see him playing so poorly. the even worse thing is he won the game TT

Tyler looked way off his game =(

He's engaging in terrible positions at terrible times. He is getting rolled in every engagement. Unfortunately, that's what it looks like. To be fair, maybe Tyler gave up after the loss to Socke, since he figured he probably can't advance. I sincerely doubt that. Not only does that sound nothing like him, he was also still in a good position to advance before this game. I mean it doesn't take much to advance. Top 30 out of 50 advance so a getting 5/9 wins is definately enough and some people with 4/9 will probably make it depending on map scores.
Well, in that case I think Tyler just needs to improve his game. He can still make it, though it'll be hard since it's likely he'll drop a match to either Idra or Sen, or both.

so even though I like Tyler, Ret and TLO... GO BOXER! GO directly to Chill! He was the one who totally ruined all our fun! I think IdrA should start his own website so he no longer has to deal with the drama that is Team Liquid. You two go make out somewhere else, we're watching a game here, not whining like little kids. why can't we make out right here? This is page 69! User was temp banned for this post.
Oh man I'm not going to lie. I lol'd.
Anyway... I'm glad Boxer won! Who doesn't love him?

Anyone who has seen artosis play on his stream knows he isn't playing his best. He is ranked 12th in his masters division and to all those saying he isn't grandmaster you have to remember it's top 200 mmr that got you there he was hardly playing enough a the time it was released to meet that and he's in Korea. There are a lot of other players on their groups that are 0-4 and you never see them getting ripped into as hard as artosis so just stop.
Also great games today by idra and boxer sad to see Tyler lose but I can't complain when the emperor wins!!

WHAT IS THIS. Boxer > Tyler?? All the other results were expected... man I'm going to have to go watch the VODs for this.

whoa boxer took out tyler? well played

To be completely honest, these are not really great excuses for his performance. All his restrains also applies to SEn, MC, Ace and other korean pros if not more so, yet these players still sits on the top of their divisions. Artosis' current form is simply not on par with other pros.

I'm actually really warming up to the commentary duo, the akward silence after a bad joke cracks me up more than the good jokes. Keep up the good work.
Also alot of the games were awesome this week! Not something that the NASL can really control I guess but it seemed like a much higher % of players were on their A game this week.

Well tyler is kind of overated, but he 2-0ed strelok easy in TSL, and strelok is considered to be one of the best euro terrans. He also took out strelok at Assembly 2-1. Other than that though, hes been playing pretty bad, he even lost to drewbie at MLG.
|
yeah, he must be pretty over rated if he lost to drewbie
|
I think its kind of funny how tyler said that boxer was past his prime and that he should retire to a coach position in SOTG a couple weeks back. I mean sure hes not in his primest but should tyler retire now after he got schooled by boxer? obviously not i wish tyler didnt say that in SOTG hes one of my favourite players but he couldnt put his money where his mouth is. Obviously he wouldnt have said that about boxer if he didnt think he could beat him himself. Unless he still has the attitude that koreans are just that much better.
Boxer played great today hes looking to be in the top of his group.

Can someone give me a rundown of BoxeR vs Tyler? Huge fan of TL and BoxeR alike but can't justify the cost of VODs this semester

What is this talk of the 'Idra issue?' Don't want to totally derail the thread, but it's been mentioned a few times in this thread and I'm curious as to what it is.

Like it or not Drewbie is a top tier NA terran, that might not be as much as a top tier EU terran but its still pretty impressive, and Drewbie was top of his mlg group with all wins untill Naniwa came, and there is no shame losing to him.
