Nice I think their biggest mistake was not picking the Praetoriani guys. Thorzain and Nightend are both amazing players. Hopefully they will play on season 2. Er Kas, Dimaga, Demuslim? They have all achieved way more than the prae guys. Dimaga's application was apparently sent in after the deadline and DeMuslim was injured when NASL began.
Demuslim was ready to play when it started.

I was really glad to see him in the NASL because even though I didn't expect him to win much, I thought it would be nice to see him play. I was happy with his performance in week 1 2 and 3 even though he lost those 6 games, he put up a fight and those games were decent/good.
In the games showed yesterday, he played outright terribly and I felt like I was watching Fenix take on a diamond player. It happens, but it was disappointing as hell, especially since NASL week 4 day 1 was kind of an underwhelming day as the games were pretty bad (in my opinion).
Now I thought game 1 was a fluke, but when he pulled his expo's probes to defend in game 2, I literally yelled "what the fuck" at my screen before they even died, which startled my friend over Skype. How does someone who knows the game so well be unaware that he had the advantage in that fight? Such terrible decision-making...
I generally don't criticize players too much when their macro slips or they make big micro mistakes, those things happen... But that probe thing... I have a hard time wrapping my mind around the idea that it was just a mistake... I don't know how to say this but it was a huge judgement error and we rarely see someone misjudge a situation this much in leagues of this importance. Also, the 1 pylon powering everything in game 1. I do think artosis is better than what he showed yesterday. Usually he has good showings in the NASL, even if he loses but today Fenix just completely dominated him lol.

I hope artosis gets to do enough practice in the future, I'd love to see more play from him, keep at it man!

Artosis is still a better player than most, but what he lacks is just the mass game experience, from the look of it. The pulling probes is a good example of that. It seems like there are tons of things he just doesn't have enough practice with that come up from just playing mass games. I know he plays a lot, but compared to people that have been playing high volumes of games for a full year now, he just doesn't have quite the same amount of experience in those situations. His play isn't terrible, but his decision making just seems suboptimal a lot of the time, and I think thats th ekind of thing that will improve drastically the more he plays in tournaments again. So I hope to see him keep playing.
Granted, I'm a scrub and I have really nothing to say to Artosis that he doesn't already know. I'm just voicing my opinion.

Tonight when I write the basic summary, don't just copy&paste into the OP, try to make it look nice and work with the form of the OP

Artosis hasn't really been playing protoss for all that long, couldn't possibly get a whole lot of practice, and is playing with korean latency. Can't really expect the guy to win vs full time pro's.
|
I wish ppl would stop blaming Artosis's losses on latency...
we have Ace from Korea undefeated and Moon doing well also and they have the same latency issues.

Massive lag for anyone else right now?
|
Soooo laggy, even at 720p. It can't be my connection, it's ridiculously good.

The EU rebroadcast is a replay of the wrong day =/
EDIT: Apparently it's a "NASL Classic" preshow. I'm so confused right now....
|
It's actually unwatchable right now. Which is quite disappointing when coupled with the fact that I couldn't watch the Vods (which I paid for) either. They just wouldn't load. Or rather, they would load maybe 10 minutes in the duration of 1 hour. Hope it's fixed!

Decided to check this out. Sounds like they broadcast the wrong game, and is it me, or is the sound still too much to the right side?

I always use just my left earbud, so I never would have noticed, but you are right. The real games from last night will be on at 2:00 KST.
