I have to say I was skeptical about NASL, and despite some minor problems, this has been great, I think I'll subscribe. Add some music and some color/stuff on the gray wall behind caster, have casters gain some experience or invite some casters from time to time, this will be perfect. Great games today btw, and Fenix out of his slump it seems. Morrow pwning as planned. Seth showing some great games. Great opening day.

Enjoyed the rest of the games. But that last game was just painful to watch. Poor Rainbow trying to micro but no chance with that lag.

This lag makes games as the one just we saw completely illegitimate and unprofessional.
No way should a $100 000 tournament count such games.

Wow and this is only day 1; day 2 matches are going to be insane - this initiative is huge!
Now to find out what the state of the game is :p

when he plays Zerg he baneling busts.
Such a good player.
If you have a 100% win rate with it, why not?

NASL has done pretty good. I am quite happy right now :D

Honestly, I'm most impressed by Moon's play in g3 vs Grubby and I'm so glad he pulled through..

Anyway, Awesome first day of NASL! If things keep up like this, I'm going to be staying up late every night for the next few months watching these games, ha.

Day 1 of NASL, resounding success imo. I am hyped for the rest of the season.

Poor Rainbow. Lag was obviously killing him.
Morrow as ruthless with his choices as ever. He plays to win.

Well Fenix screwed up a perfect liquibet night, but it looks like no one else picked him either.
Casters were okay. Not Tastosis level by any means, but good enough. Would like to see the production tab more often and more active camera movement though.

there should seriously be some way to not allow players to play if they are lagging so much
That lag was just hideously bad I think that the lag was an issue but not the complete deciding factor. Also, this is the North American star league, so players not on in the NA will have a handicap and that is just how it goes. I really enjoyed the games and am pleased with the overall tournament so far. GG

to be fair to morrow lag only played a factor in the second game. anyway predicted a rainbow loss, he isnt one of the top koreans at the moment imo..

The lag was atrocious and that probably can't be controlled. The casters just didn't make things exciting. The comments sounded a lot like fake excitement. The observer seemed to be missing everything. The camera would jump away at every critical moment. I simply had to turn it off.
I agree, pretty disappointing. Though one could attribute it to Rainbow's lackluster state these days, there were not many things going for NASL at this point in the day =/

Hehe, zergs start to teach terran be less greedy at last ;P

Stream looks great.
They should have gone over the matches for tomorrow though.

What an awful ending to the games. I'd rather see the game canceled to lag issues than have to watch something like that ever again.
Coming from warcraft 3, I was super excited to watch Grubby versus Moon and it just went downstream from there. Maybe my expectations were too high after that first series, but it was just so amazing that everything afterwards seemed so lackluster.

People are complaining about the lag now in the NASL because of the way it was recorded, which shows the awful lag players had to face. I have a feeling that if the TSL was similarly recorded live and broadcast later people wouldn't have been so quick to dismiss it.

Thanks for the great production, NASL guys. I really enjoyed it, and I'll be buying a pass (it helps that I just got a new job)!
Lived up to the hype, in my opinion. If that's the first attempt, imagine how polished this thing will be by the time finals roll around.
