MVP won anyways though, so not much of a difference (since the first canceled game was so far, his BO was slightly revealed so he used a different strategy in the re-game)

I said he didn't win any game predominantly because of his skill. Thats fine, he won, good for him.
My complaint was directed at Artosis for crushing on Alicia, while doing something relatively easy given the scenario. Sorry for calling not impressive play, not impressive.

Well, it's crushing on a guy that we already know is extremely capable in a macro game. Seeing him vary his play probably made him even more awesome in Artosis's eyes. You gotta mix it up and change play depending on what your opponent does, and that's exactly what Alicia did. TBH I wouldn't be as big a fan of Alicia if he just did macro games all the time.

yeah maybe that's because you don't understand how difficult it is to make good decisions 3 games in a row and execute those 'counter builds' perfectly. i mean two of his opponents in those games are only two of the best zergs in the world, so it's not like they'd have punished any mistake he made and crushed him. i mean ez pz, i could have won those games too! no pressure!

Alicia made his mark before these games were played and that's probably where the hype comes from. It's true that each game in and of themselves are not impressive, but you have to consider the broader context beyond these 3 games.
If you can defeat your opponent with unimpressive play, there is no need to play impressively.
If any criticism at all is warranted, then that criticism should be directed towards Alicia's opponents for displaying sub par play.

Alicia vs Losira would have lost the game if he had decided not to do a full cannon rush, yeah it looks unimpressive, but who usually walls off that part after having out 3 sentries?
Alicia vs Zergbong, when Alicia scouted the base, he didn't see anything special, but he didn't take his natural and still doesn't have a pool. This means that he has a different 3rd, and he crushed zergbong for going very heavy macro, and you can't call his force field placement unimpressive, like when he just warped in the sentries at his proxy, he made a double wall that exactly pushed off the 6 lings about to kill 2 of the stalkers. One had somewhere below 8 hp and the other somewhere below 20. FF on ramp was obvious, but when he went into the base where Zergbong pulled his workers, he made a great wall at the pylon gap, and another at the hatch and (i think spawning pool) gap, forcing a bunch of units to go around.
Relatively easy according to you, but against losira, it was a good decision to make a full wall building the cyber farther away and fitting a cannon instead of leaving a gap. Other game vs Zergbong was very good micro for a decisive victory in one go.
