An ethnic Taiwanese person could be offended by being called Chinese. An ethnic Chinese person, living either in Taiwan or whose parents came from Taiwan, whose descended from people who fled the mainland when the Communist party took over, could be offended if you referred to them as "Chinese" with respect to their nationality (as opposed to their ethnicity). Some dude who drinks water out of a wine glass and twirls a revolver on air is probably too chill to take offense to anything. | ||
