Because CS:S isn't as good as 1.6, and the community didn't accept it as a worthy successor to 1.6. BW to SC2 was a smoother transition was various reasons. Guys, that game you were watching was source. People sure know a lot about games they can't recognize. hitboxes in source are a joke http://img128.imageshack.us/i/hitboxes34xp.jpg/ stop spreading lies please. this is fixed with a client side server command 1.6 player here valve removed these commands ... source player here. well, ex source player, after they removed the commands. OK I am confused I thought the pros didnt want lag compensation (matching up the player model with the hit boxes) and that in 1.6 the skill was knowing to aim ahead. The ability to disable lag compensation was removed and not the other way around. Netcode arguments can go either way some want the models to represent where the hitboxes are and others dont like being shot around corners as a result of latency and ping differences. Up against this others dont like not shooting where the models are and predicting. In any case at a LAN these issues should be minimal. ex Source player and TF2 player. Its best explained here http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Source_Multiplayer_Networking

I mean, moon SUCKS in the GSL and here he 5-0'd his group. To be fair Moon has played much better in his games in IEM than he has in GSL even against Squirtle a Korean opponent. Moonglade is playing very solid and Squirtle barely squeaked by Sjow and Socke to get into the bracket stage. That said I'm rooting for Moon to win his first tournament in SC2 ![]()

hmmmmmmmm. In other words, the top of Euro/NA < the bottom of Korea??? (I'm just kidding, those Code B players could be top of Code A, it's just funny on paper that Code B is completely tearing up the toptoptop of the international scene.

All four semifinalists got knocked out of Code A.

All of us western SC2 fans are going to make alot of Korean kids very rich. Problem is, if a tournament restricts Korean's everyone will just know its not top tier play.... The key thing is.... the foreigners need to know where they stand. I think alot of them think EU/NA is almost on par with KR.... but they might be fooling themselves, the EU/NA scene could already be fatally far behind. TLO said it best... every foreigner need to goto Korea for training.... if even only for a month.... i think many of the EU/NA pro's need to really see where they stand. Look at MoonGlade....never heard of him.... never heard of his team..... 1 month in Korea working his ass off..... Top 4 IEM. I'm rooting for you foreigners.... but I think all the best players are going to come our of Korea, more and more, until EU/NA team houses and real "team" unity start happening.

They miss some matches entirely and for the others, some of them just don't load entirely, even if I let them sit and preload. Even when GomTV vods were bad, they weren't this bad. Even though $10 isn't much, I totally regret putting even that little into this. Agreed. The VOD situation is really disappointing. I definitely won't be giving money to ESL again. Unless of course they straighten it out in the next few days... I understand it can be hectic trying to get all this stuff done while running a tournament. agreed. it really is disappointing because not many of us can make it the 3am start times due to school/work. oh well, i've just been reading through the thread for details and such.

GLaDe has been good for a long time, and has been playing Korean server (and been top 200) before he even got to Korea. I believe he is one of the top foreigners in terms of prize money... it is just that as an Australian he doesn't get much coverage in the EU or NA scene, despite better results/ability.

Ya, he plays great.. but he also said how much just playing in Korea on the Korean ladder has helped his game. Plus he plays zerg.. he could do really well in future.

Moonglade doesn't get enough recognition or coverage in NA/EU. Have you guys seen Moonglade vs Huk series? It was really close, check it out. That simple ![]() I can actually see him being better than IdrA tbh He was talking about Moon, rather than mOOnGLaDe. But it's true both have improved a lot recently. mOOnGLaDE because of improved practice conditions, and Moon because his switch to SC2 was relatively recent. Hopefully we'll see a lot more from both of them.
