Regardless, we're set up for some amazing concluding matches for this event tomorrow afternoon/evening. We switch to a Bo5 format for our concluding rounds, so get ready to rock! It's going to be a wild ride! ![]() 2PM EST/19:00 CET we will finally decide our ultimate champion! Wish all my remaining players the best of luck!

We at The Gosu Crew did our best to bring you top quality matches and streamers, my only disappointment for the day was that Idra/Cruncher just kind of escaped my casting crews because of Idra's desire for speedy play. From my viewer perspective you guys did an awesome job. One of the best tournaments I have seen for some time. We need more tournaments that offer competition between NA and EU players.

Mini's first win (MC build of fake exp with sentry heavy 4 gate) caught Idra fairly off guard (had considerably more drones than probes) but he still could have survived. Mini even wasted quite a few FF IMO but Idra didn't react that great. He saw Mini move out, he could have baited some wasteful FF along the way. When Mini chose his spot to engage, yes he was close to the ramp to FF but he wasn't that close to damage anything when he walled himself in. Idra could have pulled back with his lings and waited to engage as the FFs dissipated. He could have done more to try and go after the proxy to stretch out Mini's forces. The only "bad" luck that Idra had in this matchup is that he set 7-8 drones to build just before Mini moves out "7:50." Idra even had his baneling nest down before seeing the army and his +1 attack gets done in time. Idra misses the opportunity for two larva injects while setting up for the fight. He has 250 minerals before the engagement that could have started some spine crawlers (1 less drone made = 2 spines near the ramp.) At the point that Mini has shot his load of FFs, Idra still has 20 zerglings running around doing almost nothing against the FFs, all 3 queens still alive, and 400 minerals (that again, could have started some spines). Against 7 stalkers, 4 sentries (only 1 w/ energy) and a proxy only just finishing. 900 minerals when Mini starts to warp in zealots for reinforcement (think spines would have done well at that moment?) Game 3 (Fighting Spirit): Since it's longer, I'll keep the specifics more vague. I liked Mini's decision to show the same opening but actually do the FE this time. Clever for a BO3. Again, against a FF heavy army Idra just tries to run his army in rather than pull back after baiting the FF and losing a few zerglings. The first main engangement, idra detonates 5 banelings to kill two Zealots that would have been surrounded anyways, then loses 7 banelings without them doing any damage at all because they pull back too late after the slings are dead. He's scouted the entire game from an observer that constantly sees his army, sees when his 3rd goes up at a good time. Idra doesn't see Mini's third until it's well established (although he could have assumed it was there since the army pushed away his Ovies to clear the area). 13 minutes in and Idra has never had a considerable harvester lead. Mini even pulls ahead in harvesters when his third is up before the biggest army engagement. So Mini has the better scouting all game, is always ahead in tech, supply, and IMO army composition. Add that with Idra not outperforming in any battles.... and how can anyone argue Mini doesn't deserve those wins? FF yes, but the Archons weren't even necessary after Mini won the large army battle. Those templars could have died and made no difference. Mini made a good front wall, but could have saved another 10 supply or so in stalkers if he dropped two more on the left where the banelings got next to the army and then psi stormed.
