So if root beats fnatic this week they will take their spot at fourth, right? Since they would be tied for win/loss but have beaten the team they are tied with.

That's the point differentials for win/loss. However, Liquid should be at 9 since 16-7 = 9.

I think 11 is correct, since by my tally Liquid are at a rather impressive 16-5

Alright, so I'm just thinking through how this week's results will affect who gets into the 4 team playoff.
By my calculations, Dignitas, Liquid and EG are guaranteed to get into the playoff. This is because of Dignitas' record and Liquid's overall points and even if EG loses to Dignitas 0-3 and ROOT beat Fnatic, EG will have more overall points then Fnatic.
So it seems like the only game to decide who gets into the playoff is ROOT vs Fnatic. No matter what record the clan war results in (ie 3-2 is the same as 3-0), the winner advances. For example, if ROOT wins against Fnatic, but the final score it 3-2, ROOT gets 1 point, Fnatic loses 1 point, and both are tied at 4 wins, 3 losses and -1 points. I assume in this case, ROOT advances over Fnatic because ROOT beat them in the head-to-head. Obviously if ROOT wins by more then 1 point (3-1 or 3-0) or if Fnatic wins, by any margin, there is no tie and no potential issue. I just wanted to confirm this is how it would work.

I wish it wasn't down to a one or the other type of thing between ROOT and Fnatic, given the close ties between our two teams, but I guess that's both of our faults for not winning more games.

Really exited for the finals of this, hopefully bottom 2 teams get replaced with maybe teams like mym/Fxo/millenium for season 2:D
