I personally think it's refreshing to show what will happen when western vs. "korean" style of play collide. I know Sen did great to move on yesterday, and if anything, this is more like a learning experience for the western scene. I'm very confident that by having "foreigners" enter the GSL, and maybe possibly in the future event of a Pro League, it'll vastly expand the popularity of SC2.

Even if to say none of the "foreigners" make it past Ro16, I think it's most fitting to say that it's good to expose them to this level of competition, where all of a sudden SeLeCt, HuK, etc. etc. aren't at the top of the boards. I have no doubt in my mind that in a macro-FOCUSED game any of the "foreigners" can stand their ground and do their thing just as good as July/NaDa/etc. etc. But instead now you have to deal with "funky" pushes that breaks you out of your comfort zone, and you learn more and more all those minute details for timing attacks, microing, etc. etc.

As I watch the GSL I start to notice very specific details about timing windows, etc. etc. That I didn't really get to notice when I would watch MLG for instance. Not to say KR > all, but KR is different,

Like if someone practiced Karate their entire life and fought nothing but other practitioners of Karate, then all of a sudden he fights someone who is focused on Grappling/Kung Fu, how do you deal with it initially? Essentially they're still forms of martial art, like how essential we all play SC/SC2, but the style is different, and at first you're out of your comfort zone.

I'm just throwing my two cents in, but I'm very confident that at least THREE westerners will make R016
