or cause his actual good? lots of people were saying how good flash was before he won anything as well you know

Well that doesn't make much sense. I hardly think they said Flash was a favorite to win a tournament before he actually started to win tournaments. Might be wrong there tough

He wasn't, in fact he was a huge underdog in the first OSL he won.

On the Korean broadcast the casters actually stated how even among the Korean crowd IdrA was the big favorite to win that matchup :D

Try pressing the x button a few times to slow the stream for a while and then press z button to bring it back to normal speed. This will allow a bit of pre-loading, tho you'll lag a bit.

Well... huge might be pushing it since he won GSI like the week before over stork 3-2

I don't think anyone called him the favourite to win the GSL and actually meant it. A favourite yes, the favourite no.

Lotsze > IdrA was pretty surprising..

I have newfound respect for CheckPrime. Lotsze credited him for helping formulate the strategy.

In the second game of the series, the colossus rush juke basically won him the game, nothing to do with micro/mechanics. This is an example of winning a game purely through mind games. In all honesty, any player (with CheckPrime coaching and planning) could have won that game.

In no way is this an insult to IdrA. I'm not saying he lost because of inferior skills.

fair enough, but wasnt that right after he beat stork in the GOMTV finals, i dont think he was the underdog. but anyways flash anyways had the potential, after his first osl win he didnt do shit even though he couldve, im just saying give idra some time. and dont say his been in korea for 3 years cause sc2 is different to bw

My stream is delayed so it just came up and I was paying a lot of attention. MakaPrime is doing it with every SCV I saw, the Zerg isn't doing it.

Yeah but I mean, at the time when the OSL started. Sure he built the hype up throughout it, but that'd be like Idra already being in Semifinals and then people starting to hype him up.

Idra, in his many years of progaming has never won first place in any korean tournament. The only reason he's hyped is because the commentators are his friends/teammates and they are of course catering to the english crowd.

And comparing him to flash is ridiculous, flash makes what, 300,000$ a year from his contract alone because of his skill? Idra can't hope to match that skill or winnings.

Are you talking about BW or SC2 tournaments? Because its impossible to win a BW tournament, they are reserved for Flash/JD/other elite Koreans

Pretty much this, although I definitely heard, "one of the favorites" so if you just squint your eyes maybe that's were people are getting it from =P.
