Only for those who have watched the finals: + Show Spoiler + Like Idra walking away instantly after the post-game interview, to avoid shaking Morrow's hand ;-) Awesome event, very good plays and casting.

This event proved to me that Terran is incredibly OP right now. I was actually irritated after watching the finals. I don't think MorroW is a better player than IdrA, or even played better. Morrow used the same strategy every single game, like most Terran have been doing.

What about IdrA's queens getting to 100+ energy? It's difficult to play on stage, there've been sloppy moments from each player. MorroW had usually very tight execution, and his builds are quite optimized. He makes it look easy, because he is good, but it's not. My main race is zerg, but I've played enough terran to comprehend it's not that easy to perform these 5rax strats optimally. MorroW also showed he's not a cheeser - which we already knew - he could play up to similar macro level with IdrA and transition or completely replace the strat. You are incorrect when you claim he made the same thing every game, watch them again. Yes, I'd agree that perhaps nobody has the macro skills of IdrA yet, but MorroW is one of the few quite close to it, and you should give the guy more credit. I don't disagree with terrans being OP, but it's also not exaggerated to the point when some random terran can beat IdrA. You should probably check out more about MorroW; he actually should have been seeded in the first place, and was one of the favorites from the beginning.

Well I'm swedish so sure I'm glad MorroW won, and indeed Idra made some mistakes... But overall IdrA should've won. He was just so superb in the first two games and in the games before those before MorroW. It is obvious he was angered by the Reaper play by MorroW and to be true; Which other race can pump up so much preasure so fast on 1 base and still go into such a powerfull midgame? Secondly I hate Blizzards maps... From what I've seen BW was so epic in the fights due huge maps: Sure we do not need as huge of maps but all these small maps with narrow shokes just tire and bore me. They're just so great for Terran 99% of the time with tanks, shokes, reapers etc. whereas Zerg are so punished by them. Don't want to derail topic so I'll stop here. It was a great tournament and I was amazed by Dimage and IdrA. MorroW/IdrA had some good matches... but going mass reapers shouldn't be so damned effective. There's just no reason at all not to do it. It made for boring matches and both IdrA and Dimage just had to do so many things to counter such simple tier pushing. Great tournament, Love Day9! Me and my girlfriend had great times watching it ! Hope to see more of this ! Although the german guy and the boothbabes were really bad: The players were awesome and Dimage was such a charming guy. gg ! EDIT: And most of all, I just wish to point out that MorroW himself said that Reapers are an imbalanced build against zerg...

+ Show Spoiler + I think that this is a prime example of how zerg is punished hard for slacking on macro (you miss a larva inject? have fun with your extra energy and no units! forget to mule? no problem!) However, you cannot take credit away from MorroW, he used what he had available to him and won decisively. You can bet that IdrA is just going to play even harder after that loss, you could tell how upset he was about it, so expect to see IdrA to smash kids as soon as he's given the opportunity.

Seemed like the same strat over and over to me. MorroW is a great player but I still don't think he necessarily outplayed IdrA, though IdrA didn't spread creep tumors enough and he forgot to inject sometimes in the late game.

Especially after terran took the gold he was spread way too thin to defend mutas with just marines, and ultras came too late and aren't really effective against MM anyway

His spire was REALLY late, so he likely THOUGHT he built a spire, and then was going to get 8 or so mutas.

Yeah i know, but probably due to the insane reaper pressure and that leading to him losing his cool too, thus twice the pressure and half the concentration...

MorroW and IdrA are both obviously very good players but I think IdrA deserved the win more.
