I think I'd use them mostly for analyzing stuff. Normal entertainment-wise, watching a vod would be better for me if I missed the broadcast.

Tournaments should not worry that they would be losing VOD/Live viewership because of releasing replays, imo. If anything, they attract more loyal viewers by being nice and supplementing replays, and those additional viewers will add to VOD hits.

I do but i still only watch them for entertainement purposes only as do my other 5 friends that play starcraft 2 so I just think that a lot of people didnt´t answer truthfully

If i'm trying to improve my game, then replays for sure. Otherwise i'd rather lay back on my couch and watch a VOD with good commentating and observing.

Yeah...It's weird to me that this is a feature that has almost disappeared with the increase in streaming. I guess tournaments don't have much incentive to release them now that they get all the exposure they need through streaming. Releasing replays is probably not going to give them much extra benefit.

Personally, I would like to see replays a lot. I don't really get the point of not releasing them to "hide information" about player's build. You can definitely copy builds down to the smallest detail as long as you have VoDs you can rewind. Having the replay just makes it easier, but if you want the information it’s fully available.

Watching S class koreans go through open brackets and see how they deal with worse players was always educational.

I personally find it the most educational when S class players beat higher tier foreigners. I love doing that for BW especially. Watching kolll get raped by Storks scout was rather sad though.

Definitely for learning purposes. I would first watch the VOD/live cast for entertainment then afterward pick through the games I found interesting and further dissect them for learning purposes.

Just increase playback rate in video player, but still if I can get replays I do so, they are way smaller(file size), and more useful
