Really? Replays are cool and all but if it's Tastosis casting I'd much rather watch the VOD myself.

I think I'd use them mostly for analyzing stuff. Normal entertainment-wise, watching a vod would be better for me if I missed the broadcast.

Tournaments should not worry that they would be losing VOD/Live viewership because of releasing replays, imo. If anything, they attract more loyal viewers by being nice and supplementing replays, and those additional viewers will add to VOD hits.

Yeah and it's even harder for them to keep track of their own replays

If i'm trying to improve my game, then replays for sure. Otherwise i'd rather lay back on my couch and watch a VOD with good commentating and observing.

Yeah...It's weird to me that this is a feature that has almost disappeared with the increase in streaming. I guess tournaments don't have much incentive to release them now that they get all the exposure they need through streaming. Releasing replays is probably not going to give them much extra benefit.

Personally, I would like to see replays a lot. I don't really get the point of not releasing them to "hide information" about player's build. You can definitely copy builds down to the smallest detail as long as you have VoDs you can rewind. Having the replay just makes it easier, but if you want the information it’s fully available.

I think it's cool that replays of pro games are not released. This makes any good replays, that are ever released, a treat to savor.

300 people saying they're not interested in tournament replays? What the fuck?

At this point SC is just a spectator sport for me. I don't have any proper time & wrist stress to allot towards really improving at the game. So where I would previously look at a replay and figure out builds and timing, I now really just watch casted streams. I don't have a copy of HotS, and I don't even have SC2 installed, but I still enjoy watching tournaments, proleague, etc. Replays would be completely useless to me.

Watching S class koreans go through open brackets and see how they deal with worse players was always educational.

I personally find it the most educational when S class players beat higher tier foreigners. I love doing that for BW especially. Watching kolll get raped by Storks scout was rather sad though.

Definitely for learning purposes. I would first watch the VOD/live cast for entertainment then afterward pick through the games I found interesting and further dissect them for learning purposes.

If I can't grab an event live, it loses any attraction for me. Just like with football and tennis.

Just increase playback rate in video player, but still if I can get replays I do so, they are way smaller(file size), and more useful
