I only care about live content

I would watch a replay from time to time if I want to copy a build, but I dont play very much lately, so no need for replays

Almost exclusively watch live (except for some SPL matches), so I'd only ever opt for replays if I saw an interesting build live and wanted to examine it further. But yeah, I'd basically not use it.

I think I have watched less than 20 replays ever and I am in mid masters currently. I get bored really fast if I am not playing or listening to casters. I mean the only reason I like code S the best is because of Tastosis being so damn hilarious. Replays have never been a big thing for me personally.

i'd watch them after the streams. mostly in FP view to (try) follow and understand the player's decision making, logical process and or simply just to learn unit control and micro.

The ideal model is dota2 ... would be better if replays worked for longer on it though.

As a casual player, I don't get much out of learning new builds, I wouldn't watch VODS without the commentary.

DOTA2 is doing this right. Replays with commentaries and camera-handling of your choosing. If it's a big-name tournament, you can sell them. I'd gladly pay money for GSL replays.

I can't watch reps easily because that involves launching up sc2, I'd much rather watch a vod, also commenting is nice and Iike to have the obs done for me.

I would always prefer a replay over a vod.

Seeing this, I can kinda imagine why releasing replays may be "bad" for some players. Look at Stephano's Max Roach, after it's been dissected, he lost prominence.

You can do the same disection w/ a vod if they keep the production tab open, which is pretty standard, its just more difficult

A lot more difficult. Since you have no control unless the casters will have the production tab on forever.

Not entirely true, I dissected Naniwas 4gate expand vs Leenock by just watching the SVT VOD.

Honestly it depends on the casters, but I would definitely watch them at one point or another whether or not there was a VOD.

Any MLG event I would rather watch replays of. Same went for IPL, and goes for NASL.

I'd be more interested now that the resume from replay exists. Before that, not really at all.

I barely play anymore, so I wouldn't have much use for a replay. When I was a lot more active, I watched all the pro replays I could get my hands in order to copy builds and stuff. Both then and now, I watched livestreams/vods if I was looking for entertainment. Having casters + the cast being live makes for a lot more excitement than watching a replay I can fastforward.

In DOTA 2 the casters are embedded in the replays. So you can choose to listen to them or not. As well as watching their screen, player views, or free views. Just a way better replay system in general and makes VODs useless, unless you don't have the game. SC should do something like it.

I'm interested in the depth of info you can mine from this raw data. you can correlate so many things, like worker efficiencies, build optimizations etc... even predictions based on positions! just sounds too exciting...

Omg are you my long lost twin!? Also in masters and get bored way too fast if there arent casters there to commentate and joke around! Boo on replays, love on commentators!

In game client with audio shoutcast, just like Dota2, would be so great. You could follow Tastosis view or move the camera wherever your curiosity leads you. Man that'd be so great.
