They were both outstanding event to follow online. Dreamhack feels more close to the comunity for me and MLG had its own amasing ambiance. It's just that we do it better in europe. God i miss ESWC good old days :'(

I feel like MLG had better scheduling in theory, Dreamhack streams were better. MLG player pool and finals were better, extended series and all. Monday finals brackets playoff really got me, too. Voted MLG.

Definitly MLG, just the athmosphere was so much better (sry, but games in a tent without the players in sight..) Also there were more games, more players, more drama.. just generally more excitement.

Only reason why Dreamhack is winning now imo is 1. because Huk won and 2. because it just ended a few hours ago which still makes you kinda be in that euphoria.

both good. mlg probably shades it though, prefer that format, more ZOMG games, timed a bit better, only downside was lack of protoss

MLG felt more exiting to me because I could watch it more time rather than Dreamhack in which I could only catch some matches, I also think that Tasteosis was awesome at MLG so MLG > DH
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

MLG had less idle time on stream, had tastosis and the MC drama.

DH had almost every game displayed on at least one of their 5 streams(unlike MLG).

Certainly both events can learn from each other. If they did we would have two perfect lan events.

MLG crowd made the viewing experience amazing. Unfortunately, we didn't get that in Dreamhack until the finals.

Dreamhack had better delivery via many streams but as many have said, the crowd sounds really made it for MLG. Booths all throughout + crowd cheers = epic.

Dreamhack because I was actually able to watch it without the stream lagging more often than not.

Dreamhack was awesome. So many more streams, more games... always something happening, and loads of sweet casters. Day[9], TotalBiscuit, Raelcun...

Too many damn breaks though. I missed the finals because of that two hour break, I left to do stuff and totally forgot about it until it was over. Shit.

Dreamhack's decision to seperate the crowd and the players was not the best decision, and MLG did that way better. On the other hand, Dreamhack had way higher stream quality, better game coverage and better players (Huk fighting ).

MLGs streaming solution is much more stable (though not quite stable enough, but it's getting there) than JTV. I don't get why major events like NASL and DH is using it, JTV has proven again and again that it just can't stay smooth for several hours.

I'd say both events are great, and hopefully they'll get even better in the future.

Both were amazing. But columbus edged it out purely to having players on the stage the whole time when the games were casted so we could see them and have interviews. Thats the only thing DH lacked imo otherwise flawless event!
